Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for command authentication to achieve a secure interface are provided. Command authentication between a host and a slave device in a multimedia system may be achieved by on-the-fly pairing or by an automatic one-time-programming via a security processor. In an on-the-fly pairing scheme, the host may generate a host key based on a host root key and host control words while the slave may generate slave key based the host key, a slave root key and slave control words. The slave key may be stored and later retrieved by the slave device to obtain the host key for authenticating host commands. The host may be disabled from generating and/or passing the host key to the slave. In an automatic one-time programming scheme, the security processor may burn a random number onto a onetime-programmable memory in the host and slave devices for command authentication.
Abstract: Certain aspects of a method and system for inverse telecine and scene change detection of progressive video may include determining a cadence, for example, 3:2 or 2:2 pulldown, and phase of received progressive input pictures. A difference between two or more consecutive received progressive input pictures may be determined. The motion compensation of a plurality of output pictures may be controlled based on the determined cadence, phase and difference between two or more consecutive received progressive input pictures. The system may be enabled to determine repeated pictures and scene changes. The motion compensation of output pictures may be stopped during detected scene changes.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for circuit boards are provided herein. An electrically insulating material is formed over one or more traces on a circuit board. One or more further electrically conductive features are present on the circuit board. A layer of an electrically conductive material is formed over the one or more traces that is electrically isolated from the one or more traces by the electrically insulating material, and is in electrical contact with the one or more further electrically conductive features. The electrically conductive material confines magnetic and electric fields produced when the one or more traces conduct an alternating current. By confining the magnetic and electric field distributions in this manner, problems of interference and/or crosstalk with adjacent signal traces are reduced or eliminated.
Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for utilizing tone grouping with Givens rotations to reduce overhead associated with explicit feedback information are presented. In one aspect of the invention, Givens matrices may be utilized to reduce a quantity of information communicated in explicit feedback information via an uplink RF channel. The explicit feedback information may include specifications for a feedback beamforming matrix that may be utilized when transmitting signals via a corresponding downlink RF channel. The feedback beamforming matrix may represent a rotated version of an un-rotated matrix. The Givens matrices may be utilized to apply one or more Givens rotations to un-rotated matrix. The rotated matrix may reduce the quantity of information communicated in the explicit feedback information. The quantity of information communicated in the explicit feedback information may be further reduced by utilizing tone grouping.

An access control list comprises information regarding the access rules for a particular user mode to the security components in the security processor. An access control matrix may be generated based on the access control lists for the user modes supported by the security component. The access control matrix may be implemented and/or stored in the security processor for verifying access rights of a user mode. Results of operations associated with security components may be transferred to other processors communicatively coupled to the security processor.
Abstract: Methods and systems for coexistence in a multiband, multistandard communication system utilizing a plurality of phase locked loops (PLLs) are disclosed. Aspects may include determining one or more desired frequencies of operation of a transceiver, determining a frequency of unwanted signals such as spurs, intermodulation, and/or mixing product signals, and configuring the PLLs to operate at a multiple of the desired frequencies while avoiding the unwanted signals. The desired frequencies may be generated utilizing integer, which may include multi-modulus dividers. The wireless standards may include LTE, GSM, EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and/or WCDMA, for example. The frequencies may be configured to mitigate interference. PLLs may be shared when operating in TDD mode, and used separately operating in FDD mode. One or more digital interface signals, zero exceptions on a transmitter spur emission mask, and sampling clocks for ADCs and/or DACs in the transceiver may be generated utilizing the PLLs.

In instances that multimedia content is already being delivered to the cellular enabled communication device prior to the detection, the instructions from the cellular enabled communication device may instruct the content source to redirect the multimedia content to the femtocell. In this regard, the multimedia content may be delivered from the content source to the cellular enabled communication device via the femtocell.

Abstract: A packet loss concealment method and system is described that attempts to reduce or eliminate destructive interference that can occur when an extrapolated waveform representing a lost segment of a speech or audio signal is merged with a good segment after a packet loss. This is achieved by guiding a waveform extrapolation that is performed to replace the bad segment using a waveform available in the first good segment or segments after the packet loss. In another aspect of the invention, a selection is made between a packet loss concealment method that performs the aforementioned guided waveform extrapolation and one that does not. The selection may be made responsive to determining whether the first good segment or segments after the packet loss are available and also to whether a segment preceding the lost segment and the first good segment following the lost segment are deemed voiced.
Abstract: A method for feeding back transmitter beamforming information from a receiving wireless communication device to a transmitting wireless communication device includes a receiving wireless communication device receiving a preamble sequence from the transmitting wireless device. The receiving wireless device estimates a channel response based upon the preamble sequence and then determines an estimated transmitter beamforming unitary matrix based upon the channel response and a receiver beamforming unitary matrix. The receiving wireless device then decomposes the estimated transmitter beamforming unitary matrix to produce the transmitter beamforming information and then wirelessly sends the transmitter beamforming information to the transmitting wireless device.
