Publication number: 20160136710Abstract: A method for warping the machine bed of a punching press, which machine bed has an aperture for carrying away punching parts and rubbish, compensates at least partially for a bending of the machine bed caused by the punching force during the punching operation. Thereby, forces acting transverse to the punching direction are introduced into the machine bed and/or forces acting transverse to the punching force direction are produced inside the machine bed, by means of which the machine bed warps in the direction towards the press ram and indeed such that it warps stronger in the area adjacent to the aperture than in the areas adjacent to its longitudinal sides. By the method, apertured machine beds of punching presses can, with very little expenses on the equipment side, be spatially pre-deformed in order to compensate at least partially bendings caused by punching forces.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2013Publication date: May 19, 2016Applicant: Bruderer AGInventor: Josef Thomas Hafner

Patent number: 7111766Abstract: The elongate rocker is forked at its first end and includes two fork tines. These are designed symmetrically relative to the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the rocker. A control rod with a longitudinal center axis is pivotally mounted at its bottom end to the second end of the rocker. A spiral pressing spring with a longitudinal center axis acts onto the rocker. The upper feeding roller is designed symmetrically to a plane extending perpendicularly relative to its longitudinal center axis. The longitudinal center axis of the control rod defines together with the longitudinal center axis of the pressing spring a geometrical plane. This plane coincides with the longitudinal plane of symmetry of the rocker, which in turn coincides with the geometrical plane which extends perpendicularly to the longitudinal center axis.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 2003Date of Patent: September 26, 2006Assignee: Bruderer AGInventor: Oskar Eigenmann

Patent number: 6055903Abstract: A connecting rod unit is eccentrically supported on the drive shaft. The connecting rod unit is pivotally mounted via link members to double arm levers. Each double arm lever is pivotally mounted to a single arm lever. Furthermore, each single arm lever is coupled at its end remote from the double arm levers to a device for the adjusting of the height position of the ram. Each single arm lever supports a pressing column. These pressing columns are pivotally mounted to the ram. Accordingly, the structural members which transmit the driving force from the connecting rod unit to the pressing columns can be designed extremely stiff and with a minimal springiness. Also, all structural members located between the connecting rod unit and the ram, inclusive the ram, are designed in such a manner that no additional balancing forces for the vertical mass force balancing are needed.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1998Date of Patent: May 2, 2000Assignee: Bruderer AGInventor: Oskar Eigenmann

Patent number: 5823087Abstract: A punch press having connecting rods which face away from each other are arranged on the eccentric shaft, and each connecting rod is coupled to a connecting lever. Two toggle joint mechanism units are connected to one connecting lever. Two further toggle joint mechanism units are connected to the other connecting lever extending in the opposite direction. The first named toggle joint mechanism units are connected via pressure columns to a first ram. The second named toggle joint mechanism units are connected via further pressure columns to a second ram. Due to the driving structural members which are arranged symmetrically distributed relative to the eccentric shaft of the punch press and the two rams arrived that thereby, the punch press can feature an extremely long space for receipt of the tools without that the height of the punch press, the allowable rated loading and the moving masses must be held overally large.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1996Date of Patent: October 20, 1998Assignee: Bruderer AGInventor: Oskar Eigenmann

Patent number: 5746123Abstract: The eccentric shaft is connected via the connecting rod and slider to single arm levers projecting at both sides away from the slider. At their ends remote from the slider the levers are supported via threaded spindles at the frame of the punch press. Groups of link members are pivotally mounted to the levers. These groups of link members are connected to double lever pairs arranged symmetrically relative to the center line of the frame of the press. Every double lever is pivotally mounted to a pressing column. The pressing columns of a respective pair of double levers are mounted to a relative ram. Each ram is guided by three guide columns, of which two are rigidly connected to a ram and one to the frame of the press. By the symmetrical dividing of the driving structures and the two rams derived therefrom the punch press is given an extremely long space for mounting the tools without that the height of the punch press, the allowable rated output and the moving masses must be kept overly large.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 1996Date of Patent: May 5, 1998Assignee: Bruderer AGInventor: Oskar Eigenmann

Patent number: 5522244Abstract: When starting up the punch press its eccentric shaft must accelerate through a start-up angle from the resting state up to the operating speed of rotation due to the forces of inertia of the moving structures of the punch press. When stopping the punch press the eccentric shaft is rotated in the direction of normal operation into a position between the upper dead center and the lower dead center position, in which latter position no contacting between the upper tool and the metal strip to be worked upon takes place. From this position the eccentric shaft is rotated backwards by the start-up angle into a start-up angle position. In the start-up angle position again no contact between the upper tool and the strip takes place.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 1993Date of Patent: June 4, 1996Assignee: Bruderer AGInventors: Oskar Eigenmann, Helmut Messner

Patent number: 5358164Abstract: The lever of a mechanism for driving a sheet feeder is guided for linear longitudinal movement in a guide member. The guide member is supported rotatably in a bearing pedestal, which is height adjustable. The lower section of the lever is shaped as a hollow profile having inner sliding surfaces. A slide member is located at the sliding surfaces. The slide member receives a pivot, by which a shaft is driven oscillatingly. The slide member is located for longitudinal movement at the center axis of the lever and, accordingly, the lever is not subjected to any torsional loadings and the entire apparatus can be made relatively narrow. This decreases elongations during the operation of the apparatus considerably.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 1992Date of Patent: October 25, 1994Assignee: Bruderer AGInventor: Helmut Messner
