Abstract: A removable upper plinth or top panel structure for a domestic appliance, includes: an elongated plate-shaped cover for covering an access opening at a top portion of the domestic appliance; a plurality of attachment members disposed on the elongated plate-shaped cover for detachably mounting the elongated plate-shaped cover to the domestic appliance; and a plurality of tethers connected to the elongated plate-shaped cover, such that on condition that the elongated plate-shaped cover is detached from the domestic appliance to expose the access area, the elongated plate-shaped cover flips downward and hangs on the plurality of tethers.

Abstract: An improved convection fan cover is provided. In one or more implementations, the improved convection fan cover has a shutter system. As the convection heating system operates, the shutter system opens and closes (or blocks and unblocks) vents in the convection fan cover, creating an oscillation effect that alters the flow of air throughout an oven cavity, contributing to a more even cooking profile.

Abstract: A gas line support device configured to support a gas line in a domestic home appliance includes: a base, the base having a plurality of contact portions that are configured to rest on a surface in a chassis of the domestic home appliance; a central portion having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the central portion being attached to the base at the first end of the central portion; a gas line cradle attached to the second end of the central portion, the gas line cradle being configured to support a gas line in the domestic home appliance; a passage in the base, the passage being formed between two of the contact portions of the base and being configured to receive an electrical wire such that the electrical wire passes through the passage and below the gas line cradle; and an attachment portion extending from one of the contact portions of the base, the attachment portion being configured to attach the gas line support device to the surface.

Abstract: An adjustable user interface module (UIM) for a domestic appliance is provided and includes an adjustable UIM housing; a UIM electronic component mounted to the adjustable UIM housing; and a pair of adjustable fastening members adapted to mount the adjustable UIM housing to the domestic appliance, each of the adjustable fastening members being configured to adjust the adjustable UIM housing in at least an up and down direction to in turn adjust the height of the UIM electronic component.

Abstract: A can dispenser rack for a refrigerator door, includes a housing in which a rear wall, two side walls, a central partition portion, L-shaped and T-shaped front flanges, and a bottom wall portion define two vertical side-by-side can receiving receptacles each having a top opening for loading cans and a lower opening for removal of cans, with each of the can receiving receptacles being configured to receive a plurality of cans stacked on their sides in a single column. Abstract: A domestic kitchen appliance is provided. The domestic kitchen appliance includes a peltier device having a hot side and a cold side; a hot-side heat-sink attached to the hot side of the peltier device, the hot-side heat-sink configured to remove heat from the hot side of the peltier device and transfer the heat removed from the hot side of the peltier device to a cooking chamber; a cold-side heat-sink attached to the cold side of the peltier device, the cold-side heat-sink fluidly connected to an area to be cooled; and a voltage supply that supplies voltage to the peltier device to cause the peltier device to absorb heat from the cold-side heat-sink into the cold side of the peltier device and to expel heat from the hot side of the peltier device into the hot-side heat-sink. The area to be cooled is outside of the cooking chamber.

Abstract: Household appliances may include partially reflective (e.g., one-way mirror) glass as part of an oven door. The partially reflective glass may transmit light from an interior of the household appliance and may reflect light from outside the household appliance. Accordingly, one can see into the lighted interior but a camera inside the interior cannot see out through the door. In some examples, the household appliance includes a lamp and a camera disposed within the cavity of the appliance. The lamp and the camera are interlocked to protect user privacy by activating the one-way feature of the door glass as needed.
