  • Patent number: 11855696
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for network communications to reduce optical beat interference (OBI) in upstream communications are described. For example, a fiber node may provide a narrow band seed source to injection lock upstream laser diodes. Therefore, upstream communications from each injection locked laser diode may primarily include the wavelength associated with each seed source. The seed sources may be unique to each end device and configured to minimize OBI. That is, the upstream laser diodes may be generic, but the received seed source may enable upstream communications at varying wavelengths. The fiber node may provide each seed source by filtering (e.g., by a grating filter) a broadband light source.

  • Patent number: 11855694
Abstract: An optical communication network includes a primary laser source, a first comb generator, and a first transceiver. The first comb generate a first plurality of comb tones having constant frequency spacing. The first transceiver includes a first transmitter having a secondary laser with a resonator frequency injection locked to a frequency of a single longitudinal mode corresponding to a particular comb tone of the first plurality of comb tones. The first transmitter adheres input data onto the injection locked frequency, and outputs a modulated data stream over an optical transport to a second transceiver downstream of the first transceiver. The improvement includes a second comb generator disposed downstream of, receives a seed tone from, and is phase-synchronized with, the first comb generator. The second comb generator outputs a second plurality of comb tones substantially conforming to the frequencies and frequency spacing of the first plurality of comb tones.

  • Patent number: 11838238
Abstract: A system and method for reducing latency in a N/ACK system is described. The present system and method reduces latency in a N/ACK system by pre-generating one or more unsolicited backhaul grants to prepare one or more backhaul elements for the receipt and transmission of wireless data. In an embodiment, the present system and method additionally generates backhaul NACK holds for delaying the transmission of a NACK such that a NACK arrive at the UE at a predesignated time, such as at the subframe 12 after the original transmission at the subframe 0.

  • Patent number: 11838131
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for an eNodeB operating in an RF band comprising a conflicting wireless technology. One exemplary eNodeB assigns an ID to a UE, processes a scheduling request for UL data from the UE, processes another scheduling request for second UL data from the UE, determines priorities of the first and second UL data based on priority indicators in the scheduling requests, and grants time and frequency for the UE to transmit the first and second UL data. The eNodeB also waits until the UE performs an LBT operation. The LBT determines whether the granted time and frequency are occupied by another wireless system comprising a different wireless technology. The eNodeB also determines that the first UL data is stale, and transmits the ID to the UE to reserve the granted time and frequency for the second UL data when unoccupied by the other wireless system.

  • Patent number: 11832326
Abstract: Systems and methods manage data traffic by converging a mobile network operator (MNO) core network with a multiple-system operator (MSO) core network (e.g., a Hybrid-Mobile Virtual Network Operator (H-MVNO) core network). The system architecture includes one or more standards-based inter-network interfaces (e.g., as defined by Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards) established between the MSO core network and the MNO core network and/or a dedicated core to provide a data signal pathway between the MNO core network and the MSO core network. As such, a user equipment (UE) receives data services through the H-MVNO core network via the standards-based inter-network interface when the UE is connected to a radio access network (RAN) for the MNO core network. Various configurations provide data services for single-subscriber identity module (SIM) UEs and dual-SIM UEs. Voice/message services are provided by a voice/message core.
