Abstract: Device for locking two coaxial tubes designed to be fitted into each other, comprising a longitudinal tab which is elastically flexible in the radial direction, connected to the outer tube and presenting at least one area capable of coming into axial abutment, once the two tubes have been fitted together, with a shoulder provided in register on the outer face of the inner tube and projecting radially with respect thereto. The wall of the outer tube 2 presents a groove 5, open at the end of the tube, whose lateral edges are parallel to the axis of the tube. The outer face of the inner tube 1 presents two radially projecting guide surfaces, said surfaces being parallel to the axis of the tube and spaced apart from each other by a distance substantially equal to the one separating the lateral edges of &he groove of the outer tube, whilst the free end of the locking tab 7 is located substantially in the transverse plane of the end of the outer tube.

Abstract: This invention relates to a clamp constituted by a metal band wound on itself, of which the ends are respectively provided with complementary hooking means comprising, in particular a hook adapted to pass over a lug during the tightening operation, the inner end of the band extending, when the clamp is in closed position, at least beyond the hook. At the base of the lug supporting the hook, there is provided at least one undulation of the band, the maximum distance between the inner face of the undulation and the outer face of the extension of the inner end of the band being at the most equal to the thickness of the band and preferably included between one third and one half of this thickness.

Abstract: A clamp fitting is disclosed, constituted by a metal band wound on itself, whose ends are respectively provided with complementary hooking means, comprising a hook capable of passing behind a shoulder or ear during the clamping operation. The clamp fitting presents at least one group of two undulations, each in the form of an open loop, projecting radially with respect to the outer periphery of the clamp fitting, the zone of join of at least one undulation to the clamp fitting being constituted by a portion of band of circular section, whose radius is at least equal to twice the thickness of the band and which extends over an arc of at least 90.degree. and preferably close to 150.degree..

Abstract: An attachment clamp for securing a tube, a bundle of cables or like objects on a support is disclosed. A metal strap is wound on itself to constitute an open ring, of which one of the ends presents an extension for the passage of a fixing screw. A plurality of openings, transverse to the strap and constituted by embossed portions, are made in the end of the ring opposite the straight extension, while the other end of the ring bears an elongated tab substantially perpendicular to the straight extension. The free end of the tab is shaped as a hook directed towards the inside of the clamp and capable of being introduced in one of the openings in order to close the clamp.

Abstract: A clamp is disclosed, constituted by a metal band wound on itself, of which the ends are respectively provided with complementary fastening means adapted to be coupled to each other when a tool, for example pliers, is tightening the clamp. The clamp is further provided with an undulation forming a reserve of capacity and being deformable by flattening during tightening. In the zone of connection of the undulation to the band, located towards the inner end of the band, there is provided a gusset for reinforcing this zone of connection.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for hermetically coupling two smooth tubes of the same diameter disposed end to end, particularly for coupling two elements of the exhaust pipe of an engine, such as those of automobile vehicles. A bush in one piece comprises a longitudinal slot provided with two radial assembly lips and surrounds the opposite ends of the two tubes on which it is clamped by a screw or a bolt traversing the radial lips. The bush presents two frusto-conical ends located on either side of a cylindrical central portion intended to be mounted astride the zone of connection of the two tubes and each lip of the longitudinal slot comprises at least one rigidifying element extending between said lip and each of the corresponding frusto-conical ends of the bush.

Abstract: This invention relates to a coupling for rapidly connecting a tube made of rigid material such as metal, of semi-rigid material, such as a plastics material. The coupling presents, at one end adapted to receive the tube, a bore whose diameter is substantially equal to the outer diameter of the tube, said bore being provided with at least one supple sealing means capable of coming into contact with one of the walls of the tube. Between the inlet orifice of the bore and the sealing means, the coupling comprises a housing which receives, for stopping the tube, a retractable member which is locally immobilized therein in the axial direction. The coupling and the seal of its bore are made of the same material, in a single moulding operation.

Abstract: This invention relates to a clamp comprising a metal band wound on itself, of which one of the ends is shaped as a hook and of which the other end presents a projecting lug allowing the free edge of the hook to be fastened. The lug presents a boss on its face serving as bearing for the free edge of the hook after fastening, this boss preferably being located substantially in the middle of the width of the lug, while the free edge of the hook comprises a notch whose shape is complementary to that of the boss of the lug.

Abstract: This device relates to a clamp constituted by a metal band wound on itself, comprising complementary tightening and/or joining elements in the vicinity of each of its ends. The band presents, in a zone preferably remote from the ends, a longitudinal slit thus defining two band sections, parallel and contiguous with respect to each other. On each of the band sections is provided at least one corrugation projecting outwardly of the clamp, each corrugation of one of the band sections being offset circumferentially with respect to each corrugation of the other band section.

Abstract: This invention relates to a clamp, adapted to be dismounted and re-used, constituted by a metal band wound on itself, comprising respectively in the vicinity of each of its ends, on the one hand, two radial stops directed outwardly of the band to constitute complementary tightening means adapted to be gripped by a tool of the pliers type, on the other hand, complementary joining means generally in the form of hooks which, in the non-tightened state of the clamp, are at a distance from each other. Each assembly of a tightening means and of a joining means is constituted by a portion of metal band of which the two ends are suitably bent to form the stop and the hook, said band portion being independent of the band constituting the clamp and being fixed thereon by any appropriate means.

Abstract: Deformable washer, particularly for predetermining the force needed for tightening a nut mounted on a screw or a screw cooperating with a tapped hole. The washer is provided on one of its faces, preferably the face which is meant to rest against one of the parts to be tightened, with a circular spot face, concentric to the central hole, the external diameter of which spot face is notably greater than the diameter of the central hole, while its depth is preferably near to the width of the spot faced ring. The washer further comprises, on its edge, a visible groove of which the cylindrical base is also concentric to the central hole and has a diameter at the most equal to the external diameter of the circular spot face and preferably just under said external diameter, the thickness of said groove being also as near as possible to the depth of the spot face.

Abstract: Clamp for joining two metal pipes, particularly of the type constituting the exhaust system of a vehicle engine, the ends in facing relationship of the two tubes to be joined having conical shape complementary bearing surfaces which project with respect to the cylindrical outer surface of the pipes. The clamp is constituted by an open ring of inverted V-shaped cross-section, the two ends of which ring comprise bearing elements for means provided for tightening and holding the ring in its closed position when the clamp has been placed over the pipes to be joined.

Abstract: Clamp of the type comprising a band, provided close to one of its ends with raised sections and having at its other end a lug equipped with means for fastening said raised sections. Said fastening means are constituted for example by a screw, of which the threads are engageable with said raised sections, and the lug is fixed on one end of a first piece of band, which first piece is in turn fixed on a second piece of band on the end of which are provided the raised sections.

Abstract: The invention relates to a clamp constituted by a band of metal comprising, at each one of its ends, complementary tightening and/or fastening means, whereas the inner end of the band comprises an extension which goes beyond the corresponding fastening means, under the outer end of the band.In this clamp, the transversal edge of the band, which constitutes the free end of the extension, has a profile indented into the band, such as an .OMEGA.-shaped profile, whereas close to its outer end, and on this side of the corresponding tightening and/or fastening means, said band comprises an elongated boss, which projects from its inner face, and is adapted to penetrate into the indented profile of the free end of the extension, said boss having its maximum height substantially equal to the thickness of the band.

Abstract: Method of assembly of the shell with the strap of a clamping collar, and collars obtained with this method.This method consists in fixing the strap under the shell of the collar and no longer by passage inside the latter. With this in mind the shell (7) has, in the part forming its base (8), cut-outs preferably forming two tongues provided between remaining parts of the base. These tongues are cranked and the shell is fitted over the strap in a straddling position. The tongues are then flattened, the force applied preferably causing the corresponding strap portion (2) to penetrate by bending into the opening thus formed in the base of the shell. A non-slip bond is obtained between the shell and the strap owing to raised parts of the strap penetrating into the cut-out or opening in the base of the shell and forming immobilization stops.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a re-usable clamp constituted by a wound over strap of metal and comprising, near to the two ends of the strap, two radial folds or lugs projecting externally from the strap, the first of said lugs extending into a portion which follows the periphery of the clamp to constitute a sole-plate extending at least over the distance separating the two lugs, whereas the second lug is also provided with an extension which is substantially parallel to the periphery of the clamp and situated at a distance therefrom which is nearly equal to the height of one lug; the sole-plate extending from the first lug is provided with at least one asperity projecting externally from the strap and designed to cooperate, when the clamp is in a closed but untightened position, with the bearing part of a recess correspondingly provided in the strap behind the second lug.

Abstract: An "open" type clamp constituted by a wound over metal strip 1, comprising two radial folds or ears 2-5, whereas a first ear is bent over and is provided with an extension directed along the periphery of the clamp to constitute a sole 4 which extends substantially over the distance separating the two ears. The second ear 5 has an extension 6 which is substantially parallel to the periphery of the clamp and extends as far as close to the first ear 2, comprising at its end a portion 7 bent towards the clamp.
