Abstract: An auxiliary exhaust system is provided for releasable attachment to internal combustion engines as are used on electrical generators of recreational vehicles or the like. The auxiliary exhaust system is easy to assemble and disassemble and directs combustion gases which have been cooled by ambient air upwardly to protect the RV occupants and near passersby. The auxiliary exhaust system provides a venturi effect with plastic stack sections which are slidably joined and which are light in weight. Shock cords stabilize the assembled auxiliary exhaust system and prevent noise transmittal from the generator and during adverse weather conditions such as high winds.
Abstract: A manual actuator is attached to a conventional gate valve commonly used in the drainage line of a recreational vehicle. The actuator includes a handle which turns through an arcuate slot moving a link member around the slot in such a manner as to open or close the valve. Additionally, in the alternate embodiment, the handle defines a recess adapted to receive a tire iron or other suitable tool having an edge approximately 1.27 cm across for greater leverage and the handle is also adapted to allow the use of the gate valve actuator with differently sized gate valves.

Abstract: A tubular tank cleaning tool for use in an R.V. waste storage tank or the like is provided with a rotating nozzle affixed to a tubular body for connection at its opposite end to a conventional garden hose. The improvement includes a flexible section of the tubular body having a coil spring within to allow the tool to be easily bent around corners and tight angles. The coil spring prevents the flexible section from kinking while a nozzle guard at the distal end of the tubular body prevents the nozzle from catching as the tool is inserted or withdrawn from a waste storage tank.

Abstract: A rail clamp is provided for attachment to a vertical rail such as a side rail of a ladder as are used on the rear of recreational vehicles. The rail clamp is molded from plastic and includes threaded members with knobs which allow the clamp to be tightened in any of a variety of positions along the rail. A pair of rail clamps are generally used for carrying bulky items such as lawn chairs exteriorly of the RV. The rail clamps are molded from durable plastic and will fit different size ladder rails as required. The knobs, threaded members and securing nuts can be reversed for convenience in use to either the right or left sides of the clamp body portion.

Abstract: An antifreeze solution for use in potable water systems is provided which has a distinct, pleasant aroma. The aroma allows the user to determine by smell the presence of the antifreeze solution in the water system. The antifreeze solution contains methyl salicylate, ethyl alcohol and propylene glycol and water in specific proportions to insure against freezing.
Abstract: An end cap for a flexible hose is provided which includes a depending pivotable member attached to an outer wall. The pivotable member can be swung upwardly between the inner and outer walls of the end cap to secure the end of a flexible hose therein. The end cap is integrally formed such as by molding from a medium density polymeric material such as polyethylene and includes an integral clamp mechanism to insure retention of a flexible hose therein.
Abstract: A sewer hose connection utilizes a helical clamp which can be manually turned around a convoluted sewer hose placed onto a rigid fitting. The helical clamp is formed from wire and is contained in an annular groove of the fitting. The helical clamp positioned over a typical RV sewer hose end convolution having a wire spiral can be rotated to draw the hose further onto the fitting to form a sealing and mechanical connection.
Abstract: A gray water line adaptor formed from a polymeric material is useful for draining water, other than sewage from motor homes, RV's, campers and the like while maintaining required sanitation. The adaptor is placed in the sewer receptacle stub to prevent odor and bacteria escapage. The adaptor can also be coupled to a conventional sewer hose for sanitary fresh water rinsing of the sewer hose by utilizing the water hose connector positioned atop the adaptor.
Abstract: An awning rod bracket is provided which can be easily slid into preformed slots in awning rods. The bracket includes a pair of bolts opposingly mounted on a planar body which defines openings therein for receiving various types of attachments for supporting electrical cords or the like.
Abstract: A sanitary attractive sink cover/cutting board for recreational vehicles having adjustable feet for universal fit and available in decorator colors, adding work space, cutting surface, sink concealment, and complementing decor of the RV.
Abstract: A door closure apparatus is provided for lightweight screen doors and the like as are used on recreational vehicles, campers and motor homes. The method of attachment of the closure apparatus includes a pair of spaced apart coil springs which are affixed to the upper and lower hinges of the door by threaded screws. The springs are positioned to expand when the door is opened thereby creating a resilient force to evenly return the door to its closed posture.
