  • Publication number: 20230409908
Abstract: A system and non-transitory storage medium for performing object classification using a trained machine learning algorithm (MLA). The MLA includes an embedding layer and a classification layer. A byte representation of an object is received. A set of embedding indices is generated based on the byte representation of the object. The MLA embeds, using the embedding layer, the set of embedding indices to obtain an input vector and predicts an estimated class based on the input vector. In some implementations, the set of embedding indices is generated by parsing the byte representation to obtain byte n-grams and by applying a hash function on the byte n-grams.

  • Patent number: 11839918
Abstract: The present application relates to a plasma atomization process and apparatus for producing metallic powders from at least one wire/rod feedstock. In the process, an electric arc is applied to the at least one wire/rod feedstock to melt the same. A plasma torch is employed to generate a supersonic plasma stream at an apex at which the electric arc is transferred to the at least one wire/rod feedstock to atomize the molten wire/rod feedstock into particles. A downstream cooling chamber solidifies the particles into the metallic powders. An anti-satellite diffuser is employed to prevent recirculation of the powders in order to avoid satellite formation. In an apparatus where two wires are fed, one wire serves as an anode, and the other as a cathode.

  • Publication number: 20230392701
Abstract: A fuse pin valve includes a housing, a piston, and a mechanical fuse, such as a fuse pin. As assembled, the piston is movably disposed in the housing and is retained in a static position by the fuse pin. Upon a certain pressure (e.g., an abnormal pressure) acting on the piston, the fuse pin fails, thereby releasing the piston to move from a first or start position to second or end position. In the start position of the piston, the valve is in a first operational state (e.g., a closed state). In the end position of the piston, the valve is in a second operational state (e.g., an open state, fully open states, etc.). In other embodiments, in the start position of the piston the valve is in an open state, and in the end position of the piston the valve is in a closed state.

  • Patent number: 11836958
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically detecting and isolating objects in images. An image containing at least one object of interest is segmented by a segmentation module, based on the class of object each pixel of the image depicts. A bounding module then determines coordinates of a predetermined shape that covers at least a portion of the at least one object of interest. An application module then applies a bounding box having those coordinates and having the predetermined shape to the original image. In some embodiments, the coordinates are determined based on a mask layer that is based on the object classes in the image. In other embodiments, the coordinates are determined based on the mask layer and on an edge mask layer. Some embodiments comprise at least one neural network. In some embodiments, the objects of interest are text objects.

  • Patent number: 11833000
Abstract: A fluid-driven medical or dental handheld device includes a head, the head including a housing and a impeller rotatably mounted in the housing. The housing defines a receiving chamber for receiving the impeller, a main air inlet and an air outlet being defined in the housing and communicating with the receiving chamber. An inner surface of the housing surrounding the receiving chamber defines a plurality of grooves, the grooves being arranged at intervals along a circumferential direction of the housing. The grooves reflect rotating airflows directed to the grooves to change directions and speeds of the airflows to form interference airflows, which can effectively reduce the rotation speed of the head at idling, while ensuring the torque output of the head during grinding teeth.

  • Patent number: 11836573
Abstract: For respective positive integer value n, performing an outer and inner procedures, for states sufficiently representing coherent-error in a quantum system. Inner procedure creates copies state entangling n-qudits using randomized compiling, and obtains measurements of n-qudits in a basis corresponding to f-states. An outcome bit string forms for the state from measurement. The outer procedure and the forming string repeats, obtaining outcome bit strings for each state. Error-rate is determined for each state using the outcome bit strings for the respective value n. The outer procedure through determining error-rate repeats for different n drawn from positive-integers, determines error-rate for each state for respective values n. For state-S, error-rate fits for each respective value-n of the state to a corresponding quadratic function, the error-rate as dependent variable and n as independent variable.
