Abstract: The present invention concerns a processing method and system for configuring a processor for coding/decoding structured documents of XML type. The method includes generating at least one unified model representative of the structure of an element type on the basis of at least one structured configuration document, said unified model including statistical information on transitions between items made in the occurrences of said element type within the configuration documents, and optimizing said unified model, using the statistical information on transitions, by deletion of at least one transition of the unified model and/or grouping together of at least two transitions within the unified model. Thus, the transition information makes it possible to configure the processor with a number of productions that is limited and adapted for the coding or the decoding of the structured documents.

Abstract: Grasping of an elongated plate shaped spacer is performed such that a portion of each face of grasping members is brought into contact with the side of the elongated plate shaped spacer, wherein the region of contact between the grasping members and the side of the elongated plate shaped spacer is gradually spread toward the edge of the elongated plate shaped spacer in the longitudinal direction thereof. Thus, a method of manufacturing an image display apparatus can be provided wherein elongated plate shaped spacers can be positioned on a substrate with high positional precision.

Abstract: In an X-ray image capturing device which performs image capturing by receiving image capturing information that includes protocols from an information system, when a protocol which is not associate to a body part is transferred, image capturing of such protocol cannot be performed, or the task of associating to a body part is troublesome and cannot be performed accurately. A configuration is used in which a protocol having unassociated image capturing information and body part is displayed as an undefined protocol, and means to associate the undefined protocol to a body part is called up.
Abstract: A reduction is prevented in stacking efficiency of a sheet stacking apparatus due to a wrong setting of a stacking tray performed by a user thereby achieving a high stacking efficiency. In a control method for controlling an image forming apparatus including a sheet stacking control unit configured to stack sheets, subjected to printing in a print job, on one of a plurality of removable sheet stacking units, the control method includes specifying a sheet discharging unit used in the print job, determining whether a sheet stacking unit corresponding to the specified sheet discharging unit is properly set, and, in a case where it is determined that the sheet stacking unit is not properly set, restricting conveying sheets to the sheet stacking unit.
Abstract: A method is disclosed for transmitting a multi-channel data stream comprising frames comprising a plurality of channels, the transmitting being done via a multi-transport tunnel from a first tunnel end-point to a second tunnel end-point, the multi-transport tunnel implementing at least one first carrier supporting a transport protocol with acknowledgement and at least one second carrier supporting a transport protocol without acknowledgement. More specifically, the invention proposes to introduce a delay in the sending of data (<<of high importance>>) via the first carrier as compared with the sending of data (<<of lesser importance>>) via the second carrier. Thus the invention guarantees the order of arrival of channels that are associated with a same piece of synchronization but are transmitted on distinct first and second carriers and come from the separation of a same multi-channel data frame.
Abstract: Face regions are detected from a captured image, and a weight of each detected face region is computed based on a size and/or a position of the detected face region. Then a previous priority ranking weight is computed based on a priority ranking determined in previous processing. A priority of the face region is computed from the weight and the previous priority ranking weight. For example, if the continuous processing number exceeds the threshold the priority ranking weight is reduced. After the processing is completed for all face regions, a priority ranking of each face region is determined based on the priority computed for each face region.
