Abstract: A medicament delivery device includes a housing having proximal and distal ends; a delivery member connected to the housing; a medicament container operably arranged within the housing; a drive mechanism configured to act on the medicament container for priming and for expelling a dose of medicament; and an activator mechanism configured to interact with the drive mechanism, such that a first interaction between the activator mechanism and the drive mechanism causes the container to move toward the delivery member, in which the container is primed, and such that a subsequent interaction between the activator mechanism and the drive mechanism causes a dose of medicament to be expelled through the delivery member.

Abstract: A medicament delivery device includes a housing; a hollow plunger rod; a dose drum concentrically arranged between the housing and plunger rod and movable when setting and delivering a dose; and a plunger rod driver. The driver includes a hollow ratchet arm drum movably arranged within the plunger rod and fixed to the dose drum, with the arm drum and rod releasably coupled; a dose activator having a longitudinal rod movably arranged within and releasably coupled to the arm drum; a dose setting knob fixed to the dose activator and releasably coupled to the arm drum; and a resilient element arranged between the arm drum and dose activator that biasses them in a direction decoupling the longitudinal rod from the arm drum and coupling the knob with the arm drum, such that during dose setting, turning the knob forces the arm drum and dose drum to rotate together.

Abstract: A medicament delivery device includes a distal housing part; a proximal housing part for a container; a drive mechanism in the distal housing part that includes a plunger rod; and an auto mixing mechanism. The housing parts are movable from a first position, in which the housing parts are partially extended relative to each other, to a second position, in which the housing parts are partially retracted relative to each other. The auto mixing mechanism is configured to hold the housing parts in the first position and to lock the housing parts in the second position, and includes a mixing force member operably arranged between the housing parts such that manual activation of the auto mixing mechanism enables the mixing force member to cause the housing parts to move from the first position to the second position. The plunger rod acts to mixing a medicament in the container.

Abstract: A smart tourniquet includes a casing having a control unit; a contact area arranged to the casing, configured to contact a patient's skin, and connected to the control unit; a cuff arranged to the casing with an inflatable bladder; an adjustable strap arranged to the cuff for securing the cuff and casing to the patient; a pump contained in the casing, connected to the bladder, and controlled by the control unit; a thermoelectric module contained in the casing, controlled by the control unit, and connected to the contact area; and at least one sensor contained in the casing for detecting blood pulse and controlled by the control unit. The control unit is configured to inflate and deflate the bladder in response to blood pulse for changing a pressure around an arm or leg and to heat the contact area for vasodilating a vein under the patient's skin for visual detection.

Abstract: A medicament delivery device is presented having a housing configured to receive a medicament container having a delivery member and a shield, a protective cap, and wherein the protective cap comprises connecting means for connecting to the shield of the medicament container such that removal of the protective cap from the housing causes removal of the shield from the medicament container. The delivery device is characterized in that a protective cap assembly has a first disconnecting means configured to interact with corresponding second disconnecting means of the housing and of the protective cap such that activation of the first disconnecting means of the protective cap assembly causes the displacement of the protective cap relative to the housing.
