Abstract: A medicament delivery device includes a housing having proximal and distal ends; a delivery member connected to the housing; a medicament container operably arranged within the housing; a drive mechanism configured to act on the medicament container for priming and for expelling a dose of medicament; and an activator mechanism configured to interact with the drive mechanism, such that a first interaction between the activator mechanism and the drive mechanism causes the container to move toward the delivery member, in which the container is primed, and such that a subsequent interaction between the activator mechanism and the drive mechanism causes a dose of medicament to be expelled through the delivery member.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an injection needle assembly (10) having opposite distal and proximal ends, comprising: a retainer member (18) configured to be connectable to a medicament container; a hub (32) configured to be coaxially displaceable within the retainer member and provided with an injection needle (38) having proximal and distal pointed ends (40; 42); and a cap member (12) interactively connected to both the hub and to the retainer member. The invention is characterised in that it further comprises a sealing member (56) arranged between said cap member (12) and said retainer member (18) for preventing contamination of said injection needle (38) before use.

Abstract: An injection device with distal and proximal ends includes a housing, a needle-protecting sleeve that is longitudinally movable relative to the housing, a container holder that is longitudinally movable relative to the housing toward the proximal end from a non-delivery position to a delivery position, and a needle-protecting sleeve spring that is operatively coupled between the needle-protecting sleeve and the container holder such that the sleeve is longitudinally movable toward the distal end from an initial position to an activating position and toward the proximal end from the activating position to an end position. The sleeve spring is strained by a first amount when the sleeve moves from its initial position to its activating position, and by a second amount when the container holder moves from its non-delivery position to its delivery position.
