  • Patent number: 11823791
Abstract: A context-aware healthcare notification system determines, in response to a user device has moved within a proximity of an infusion device and within a proximity of a patient identification device associated with a patient, that the infusion pump is currently experiencing an error condition regarding an administration of medication by the infusion pump to the patient. A corrective action is determined for the error condition and a notification is provided to the user device indicating that the user device is within the proximity of the infusion device and that the infusion device is experiencing the error condition, and information regarding the corrective action. The infusion device may then be caused to adjust the administration of medication by the infusion pump to the patient.

  • Patent number: 11823792
Abstract: A peer network may include nodes corresponding to different clinicians. An edge may interconnect the two nodes based on the corresponding clinicians sharing at least one common attribute such as for example, treating the same patients and/or interacting with the same medical devices. A machine-learning model may be applied to identify, in the peer network, one or more peer communities of clinicians. The activity pattern of a clinician may be compared to the activity patterns of other clinicians in the same peer community to determine whether that clinician exhibits anomalous behavior. An investigative workflow may be triggered when the clinician is determined to exhibit anomalous behavior. The investigative workflow may include generating an alert, activating surveillance devices, and/or isolating medication accessed by the clinician.

  • Patent number: 11786717
Abstract: A self-flushing connector includes a housing having a cavity, a first inlet port, a second inlet port, and an outlet port. A collapsible valve is disposed within the cavity. A first flow path extends from the first inlet port to the outlet port. The first inlet port and the second inlet port are fluidly connected through a gap defined between the body of the collapsible valve and an inner wall of the housing defining the cavity. A second flow path extends from the second inlet port to the first flow path. When the collapsible valve is in a closed state, the collapsible valve fluidly disconnects the second flow path from the first flow path while allowing fluid to flow through the first flow path. When the collapsible valve is in an open state, the second flow path is fluidly connected to the first flow path.
