  • Patent number: 8730375
Abstract: A digital camera includes a focus position table. The focus position table, in which focus positions for person-priority pan focus have been set, is used when a face has been detected, and the focus position table, in which focus positions for non-person priority pan focus have been set corresponding to the types of non-person priority pan focus, is used when a face has not been detected. When a face has been detected, the digital camera determines the pan focus as the person-priority pan focus, and after acquiring a focus position from the focus position table, executes the pan focus processing. On the other hand, when a face has not been detected, the digital camera acquires, from the focus position table, a focus position corresponding to a type of non-person priority pan focus determined based on the photography scene and executes the pan focus processing.

  • Patent number: 8723013
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a musical performance device capable of changing layout information, such as information regarding the arrangement of a virtual musical instrument set, by an intuitive operation. In the present invention, when position coordinates detected at a shot timing are within one of the areas of a plurality of virtual pads, a CPU designates a virtual pad in this area as a target of positional change. Then, the CPU determines a position where the virtual pad designated as a target of positional change is placed by this positional change, based on position coordinates detected at shot timings, and changes the position of the virtual pad designated as a target of positional change to the determined position.

  • Patent number: 8725414
Abstract: In an information processing device, when a positional information acquiring unit acquires positional information calculated from GPS signals and the like, a movement area setting unit sets a movement area with a size corresponding to a distance between a current location and a destination. When the positional information acquiring unit acquires positional information indicating a current location after setting this movement area, a judgment unit judges whether the positional information is within the movement area. Then, as a result of this judgment, in a case of being within the movement area, a display control unit executes display control of a display unit so as to display on a map the positional information, and in a case of being outside of the movement area, so as not to display on the map the positional information.

  • Patent number: 8717449
Abstract: An image capturing unit 1 acquires a plurality of images being temporally continuous. Based on external operations from a key input unit 4, a control unit 9 selects an image serving as reference of synthesis, from the plurality of images acquired by the image capturing unit 1. An image processing unit 10 compares the reference image selected by the key input unit 4 with other images acquired by the image capturing unit 1, and detects an image with a difference value being higher than a predetermined threshold value as a result of such comparison. The image processing unit 10 sets a synthetic rate, based on the image thus detected. A synthesis unit 11 generates a single image by executing synthesis of the plurality of acquired images including the image serving as reference, by using the synthetic rate that is set by the image processing unit 10.

  • Patent number: 8710345
Abstract: A performance apparatus prevents a player's unintentional motion from being detected as a playing, thereby generating no sound, when the player plays a virtual musical instrument. The performance apparatus has a player operated stick, a ROM for storing layout information, which correlates plural areas set on a virtual plane to tone colors, respectively, an image sensor for continuously taking pickup images of a subject including the stick, and a CPU for calculating a difference image between a first pickup image and a second pickup image taken prior to the first pickup image and for detecting an operating position of the stick based on the difference image. A CPU refers to the ROM to specify a tone color correlated to the area corresponding to the operating position detected by the CPU. And a sound source generates a tone of the tone color specified by the CPU.

  • Patent number: 8710347
Abstract: Based on acceleration-sensor values from a three-dimensional acceleration sensor 23, CPU 21 of a performance apparatus 11 determines a timing at which a musical tone is generated. Further, based on the acceleration-sensor values of the acceleration sensor 23 given at a predetermined timing, for example, at a time when a player starts swinging of the performance apparatus 11, a roll angle of the performance apparatus 11 rotating about an axis in its longitudinal direction is calculated. A timbre of musical tones to be generated is determined based on the calculated roll angle.

  • Patent number: 8711230
Abstract: An image capture apparatus shifts an image sensor at each shooting initiation time in the continuous-shoot mode in the event of a camera-shake in response to a control signal which reflects an offset signal indicating pixel shifting information in a compensating signal indicating shake compensating information. Thereby, a change in the shooting range of the image sensor due to the camera-shake is mostly compensated for and the shooting range is changed by one pixel at each shooting. Thus, even in the event of a camera-shake, the distance between a feature portion of a main subject and a fixed pattern noise can be made different for each of continuously shot images. As a result, even in the event of the camera-shake, a composite image having fixed pattern noises scattered can be obtained by combining continuously shot images with reference to the feature portion.
