Abstract: A printing device includes a driver rotating and driving a feeder roller feeding a printing target member, a printing section performing printing on the printing target member, a cutter cutting the printing target member, a transfer mechanism which is provided at an upstream side of the feeding direction of the printing target member over the printing section and which selectively causes a transfer member with an adhesive to be in contact with the printing target member while feeding the transfer member to transfer the adhesive, and a transfer controller controlling transfer/non-transfer. The transfer/non-transfer of the adhesive to the printing target member is controlled based on positive/reverse rotation of a motor, and a print tape with an adhesive on the whole surface, a partial adhesive or no adhesive at all and without a paper liner is freely creatable.

Abstract: A LAN control unit receives print data from a client device or the like. An input job storage unit registered on a hard disk a series of PDL commands included in the print data received. An input job queue management unit registers print job specifying information specifying a print job represented by the print data received to the end of an input job queue. A PDL interpretation/execution unit successively executes from the head of the series of PDL commands stored on the hard disk device. When it is determined that the PDL command that has been executed is a re-execution unnecessary command, the PDL interpretation/execution unit overwrites the PDL command stored on the hard disk with a NOP command.

When a recognition-assisting information input module inputs recognition-assisting information for handwritten data to be recognized in response to a user's operation, the handwritten data input on the touch panel is recognized by a handwritten mathematical formula recognition module as an element of a mathematical formula, based on the recognition-assisting information input from the recognition-assisting information input module. In the first forming, a substantially flat first image expressed with unevenness sense based on a touch and/or a stroke of a brush is formed on a first face of a thermal expansion sheet. In the second forming, a second image constituted of a grayscale image is formed on a second face of the sheet. The grayscale image includes a dark portion and a light portion with densities set to form a substantially uneven shape on the first face. The uneven shape corresponds to the unevenness sense of the first image and unevenness sense of fabric where the first image is supposed to be formed. In the applying, thermal energy is applied to the second image to expand the sheet to form the uneven shape on the first face.
