Abstract: An image specification system includes a sender and a receiver. The sender includes a determination unit and a sending unit. The receiver includes a receiving unit, an obtainment unit and an image specification unit. The receiving unit receives first time information on a time at which a positional relationship between a first object provided with the sender and a second object is a predetermined state, sent from the sending unit when the determination unit determines that the positional relationship is the predetermined state. The obtainment unit obtains images successively captured by an image pickup unit and correlated with respective second time information on times at which the respective images are captured. The image specification unit specifies, from the images, an image correlated with second time information corresponding to the first time information.
Abstract: Provided is an information processing system that includes a server and a client device. The server stores identification information and associated content in memory, and transmits the identification information, using light that varies over time as a communication medium. The client device continuously senses and decodes the light varying in time into the identification information, transmits the decoded identification information to the server, receives content transmitted from the server in response to the transmission of identification information, and displays received content. A controller included in the client device detects an operation on the displayed content from an input device, and applies control to transmit process details according to the detection to the server. The server additionally executes the process details transmitted from the client device, and updates the content to content that includes the execution results.
Abstract: An electrophoretic display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a partition wall, first electrodes, a second electrode, a dispersant, positively-charged particles, negatively-charged particles, weakly-charged particles, switching thin film transistors, scanning lines, and signal lines. Pixel spaces are surrounded by the partition wall, the first substrate and the second substrate. Two of the first electrodes are formed on the first substrate in each pixel. The second electrode facing the first electrodes is formed on the second substrate. The dispersant with the positively-charged particles, the negatively-charged particles, and weakly-charged particles is contained in the pixel spaces. The switching thin film transistors are connected to the first electrode, and the signal line. The scanning lines supply scanning signals to gate electrodes of the switching thin film transistors. The signal lines input a data signal to the switching thin film transistors.
Abstract: An apparatus for processing a moving image including: an acquiring section which acquires moving image data of an object imaged at a predetermined imaging frame rate; an identifying section which applies a predetermined analysis process to the moving image data and identifies a first frame image among a plurality of first frame images and second frame images constituting the moving image data, wherein the first frame images are to be reproduced in slow motion, and the second frame images are frame images other than the first frame images; and a processor which performs a frame-number reduction process to reduce the number of the second frame images at a predetermined ratio.
Abstract: A nail printer and printing method for printing on nails of fingers in a short time. Printing of nails starts a predetermined time after a print start command is given by a print switch or a both-hand switch. When nails of thumbs or fingers of both right and left hands are printed with an image, a print switch is operated by one of the hands, the thumbs or fingers of the both hands are fixed at a predetermined printing position within a printed finger receiver and then the nails of both the thumbs or fingers are printed with a design or pattern.
Abstract: When having determined that the input event from a client unit is the selection of an object, a server unit requests the client unit to transmit display area information that sets a display screen area on the drawing data. The server unit acquires the display area information transmitted from the client unit in response to the request. The server unit determines whether the area of the object selected on the drawing data fits in the display screen area corresponding to the acquired display area information. If having determined that the area of the object does not fit in the display screen area, the server unit changes the display area information so that the area of the object may fit in the display screen area and transmits the changed display area information to the client unit. The client unit displays the drawing data received from the server unit.

Abstract: A page-turning device turning a page of a book includes a sticking part, an arm part and a drive unit. The sticking part sticks to the page of the book being opened. The arm part is provided with the sticking part on a top end and swings such that the sticking part sticks to the page at a departure position of the page and separates from the page at a destination position of the page while the sticking part goes to and fro between the departure position and the destination position over the page of the book. The drive unit swings the arm part around a drive shaft of the drive unit. The drive shaft is inclined with respect to a seam of the opened book and/or a plane on which the book is disposed.

Abstract: A pulse data detecting apparatus, pulse data detecting method, and pulse data detection program are provided capable of suppressing an influence of the condition of the body surface to be measured and obtaining an appropriate measurement result under a wide range of conditions. In the present invention, a blood-flow-suppressing-projection protrusion-control mechanism section causes a blood-flow-suppressing projection to protrude to press or compress the body surface to suppress a blood flow on a downstream side, thereby increasing a blood pressure of a measurement region at the time of measurement. A light-receiving element receives reflected light of light applied from a light-emitting element to a skin surface, and outputs an electrical signal. Increasing the blood pressure of the measurement region enables to obtain an output signal at a sufficient output level from the light-receiving element. A CPU calculates a pulse rate based on the output signal from the light-receiving element.
