When it is determined that a human face has not been detected in the two-dimensional face detecting process, a three-dimensional face detecting process is performed to detect a human face. In addition, when an animal face detecting mode is set, a three-dimensional face detecting process is performed to detect a face of an animal corresponding to the set detecting mode.

Abstract: A band, a wristwatch with the band and a method of making the band are described. The band includes a strip-like body with a series of holes provided therein along a length thereof for adjusting an effective length thereof. The body includes a band-shaped support layer of woven or knit fabric of bundles of one or more kinds of fibers, the fibers being selected from a group including carbon fibers, glass fibers, aramid fibers and boron fibers. The body also includes a first resin layer adhering closely to one surface of the support layer, and a second resin layer adhering closely to the other surface of the support layer. The fibers of the support layer extend at a predetermined angle to longitudinal and transverse directions of the body.

According to one implementation of the present invention, the hand illuminating apparatus includes a hand which is driven to rotate by a hand spindle. A first optical guiding section is provided to guide light from the light source from a lower edge to an upper edge of the hand spindle. A second optical guiding section, in which a plurality of optical waveguides are formed on the hand, is provided to guide light which exits from the first optical guiding section from a base to a tip of the hand.
Abstract: The present invention provides an antenna that enables circular polarization in a plurality of oscillation frequencies. A multi-frequency circular polarization antenna is formed with a substrate and multi-frequency antennas. The multi-frequency antennas are formed with antenna elements, shunt inductor conductors, series capacitor conductors, series inductor conductors, a center point, and input/output terminals. The multi-frequency antenna is arranged to cross the multi-frequency antenna at the center point to make an angle that is less than 90 degrees with respect to the multi-frequency antenna.

According to one implementation, the imaging apparatus includes an imaging lens; a first driving section; an obtaining section and a generating section. The first driving section rotates the imaging lens around an axis along a first direction orthogonal to an optical axis. The obtaining section obtains two image signals corresponding to two optical images which pass through the imaging lens rotated in two states to make a direction of the optical axis relatively different so that a relationship of a position of background with respect to a subject is different. The generating section generates image data of a stereoscopic image based on the two image signals.

Abstract: A LAN control unit receives print data from a client device or the like. An input job storage unit registered on a hard disk a series of PDL commands included in the print data received. An input job queue management unit registers print job specifying information specifying a print job represented by the print data received to the end of an input job queue. A PDL interpretation/execution unit successively executes from the head of the series of PDL commands stored on the hard disk device. When it is determined that the PDL command that has been executed is a re-execution unnecessary command, the PDL interpretation/execution unit overwrites the PDL command stored on the hard disk with a NOP command.
