  • Patent number: 7822133
Abstract: In an OFDM receiver, one of a plurality of antennas is selected based on a ratio X of two moving average integration values (first moving average integration value and second moving average integration value) that are calculated from a non-delay symbol and a delay symbol. It could be said that the second moving average integration value represents excessive false information (that is, whether the state of the transmission line is good). Accordingly, determination of the ratio X between the second moving average integration value and the first moving average integration value and selection of one of the plurality of antennas based on the ratio X enables judgment on whether the state of the transmission line is good even during a period other than a guard interval period Tg, that is, during an effective symbol period Tu.

  • Patent number: 7822336
Abstract: In a digital camera, a focus lens is moved at a low speed between a timing at which a shutter key is half pressed and a timing at which the shutter key is fully pressed to detect a focused position. When the shutter key is fully pressed by a user before the focus lens reaches a focused position, the focus lens is moved at a higher speed than that of a case in which the shutter key is half pressed, and a focused position is detected. Thereby, even when the shutter key is fully pressed by a user before the focus lens reaches the focused position, the digital camera can realize focusing with less delay in capturing.

  • Patent number: 7809341
Abstract: A received low-frequency standard radio wave, which is an amplitude modulation signal, is converted to an intermediate frequency signal Sa, and is output to a detection circuit and an AGC circuit. The detection circuit and AGC circuit generates an RF control signal Sf1 and IF control signal Sf2 from the input intermediate frequency signal Sa, and controls an RF control circuit and IF control circuit by outputting the generated RF control signal Sf1 and IF control signal Sf2 to the RF control circuit and IF control circuit. By this a radio wave reception device can speed up AGC operation.

  • Publication number: 20100246968
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus 100 comprises an electronic image capture subunit 2, a determiner 8a, an image acquisition control unit 8b and a subject image extractor 8c. The determiner 8a sequentially determines whether a subject image is present in each of the images captured sequentially by the image capture subunit 2. The image acquisition control unit 8b acquires a subject-present background image and a subject-absent background image based on the result of the determination by the determiner 8a. The subject image extractor 8c extracts the subject image from the subject-background image based on difference information between each pair of corresponding pixels of the subject-background image and the background image each acquired by the image acquisition control unit 8b.
