  • Publication number: 20100188511
Abstract: If there is no movement of the imaging apparatus and no subject presence estimation region, normal tracking setting is accomplished (step S203), while if there is a subject presence estimation region, tracking setting is accomplished by expanding the detection range and lowering the detection threshold value (step S204). If the imaging apparatus is moving and there is no subject presence estimation region, normal tracking settings are accomplished (step S208), while if there is a subject presence estimation region, a determination is made as to whether or not that region is one with no flow (movement vector) detected. If this is a region with no flow detected, tracking settings are accomplished by expanding the detection range and using normal detection threshold values (step S207). If there is a region with flow detected, tracking settings are made by expanding the detection range and lowering the detection threshold value (step S204).

  • Publication number: 20100182480
Abstract: When a feature point extractor sets feature points on one of the images acquired by a first and second image acquirer, a template setting unit sets a base template containing a feature point onto an edge-extracted image of the acquired image. If the image within the base template is segmented by an edge, the template setting unit sets a transformed template, wherein a segmented sub-region that does not contain the feature point is deleted from the base template, and a region equal in area to the deleted region is added to the sub-region that does contain the feature point. A distance computing unit conducts template matching with respect to the one or more other images using either the base template or the transformed template, and computes the shooting distance to the matching feature point.

  • Patent number: 7760168
Abstract: A light-emitting element capable of emitting light having a preferred gradation level depending on display data. During a precharge period, a data driver applies a precharge voltage to a capacitor via a data line. After the application of the precharge voltage, a voltage converter reads a first reference voltage Vref(t1) and a second reference voltage Vref(t2) to generate a compensation voltage based on a difference between the respective reference voltages. Based on the compensation voltage, a voltage calculator compensates an original gradation level voltage Vorg having a value in accordance with display data generated by a gradation level voltage generator. The voltage calculator generates a compensated gradation level voltage Vpix corresponding to a variation amount of an element characteristic for a transistor Tr13 for driving light emission to apply the compensated gradation level voltage Vpix to a data line Ld.

Abstract: A digital camera shoots a document plural times from different directions to obtain a plurality of images. An image processing device included in the digital camera corrects the keystone distortion of each image to generate an image which seems as if the document were shot from in front of it. The image processing device synthesizes the images by addition-averaging the pixel values of each pixel in the plurality of corrected images. Even if captured images are illuminated by glare from a light because a document made of glossy paper is shot, the influence of the glare is reduced by addition-averaging the pixel values of each pixel in the plurality of images.
