Abstract: For associating different technologies of a microstrip line and of a rectangular waveguide, for example on a ceramic, in a transition device including a mode transformer between the line integrated into a printed circuit board, and the waveguide, the board includes a housing containing the waveguide with a large sidewall coplanar and coaxial to the strip of the line and another large sidewall fixed onto a metallic layer of the board at the bottom of the housing. A linking metallic element bridges a mechanical tolerance gap between the transformer and one of the line and the waveguide. The transformer can be integrated into the board, or into the waveguide in a microwave component.

  • Publication number: 20120226470
Abstract: Target land area is three-dimensionally located using an optical sensor and a radar sensor in satellites. The positions of the satellites are measured and images are captured when the sensors point toward land areas. The aiming direction of the optical sensor for each area is measured. The distance between each area and the radar sensor pointing thereto is measured. Images of land areas captured by the sensors and covering common areas are matched. The distance between the target area selected from the common areas and the optical sensor is accurately determined on the basis of the positions of the sensors, the distance between the target area and the radar sensor, and the aiming direction of the optical sensor, which are associated with the images covering the target area.

  • Publication number: 20120111237
Abstract: A workstation with position memory includes a stationary flat mounting, a plate translatably mounted relative to the stationary flat mounting and a locking system secured to the plate. The workstation also includes a fastener secured to the stationary flat mounting, a strap including a first end, an intermediate portion and a second end, the first end being attached to the fastener and the second end being free from any strain. The locking system has a first open position in which the locking system can slide along the intermediate portion and a second closed position in which the locking system is retained in a locked position along the intermediate portion. The invention has a direct application in the field of military vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20110148635
Abstract: A method of monitoring an object of value to optimize energy consumption, the object of value being equipped with an event detection device including: a circuit configured to provide contactless communication with a remote entity; a sensor configured to detect an event related to the monitoring of an object of value; a unit configured to collect energy; the method including a first step of collecting energy by the detection device; a second step, started following the detection of an event by the detection device, in the course of which energy collected during the first step is restored such that: the detection device activates at least one contactless communication circuit of a remote entity or searches for one; the detection device transmits to the contactless communication circuit of the remote entity information related to the detected event.
