Abstract: A device is disclosed for printing on blanks which are intended for swaging, to obtain a predeformed image on the blanks which, following swaging, will reconstitute the original image. The device comprises a light source (2), a toric prism (4) and a camera (8) having a common optical axis (12). The angle of the toric prism is smaller than 42.05.degree., and the surface (11) of the prism facing the camera (8) forms a linearity correction lens.
Abstract: The invention relates to the fitting of a metal closure on a vessel of which the circular edge is a rigid beaded lip.The method of this invention starts with a closure blank (1) of which the edge (14) has been bent through less than 180.degree., a thick elastic gasket (5) is positioned inside its support section (20), and then, when the closure blank (1) has been positioned under a centering press (7), it is shaped, it is fitted under the beaded lip (4) of the vessel and it is sealingly tightened in a single operation, by the movement of an annular mandrel (10) or several outer tools of the same function.

Abstract: The invention relates to a plastic sealing screw cap with an improved tamper-proof strip, intended for containers provided with a ring of the "Pilferproof" type having a threading above a counter-ring whose lower part forms a raised edge, the cap having a head, a skirt provided with an inner threading, and a tamper-proof strip connected to the lower part of the skirt by a multiplicity of bridges constituting connections that can be broken. The tamper-proof strip has two parts, a first annular part (4A) connected to the lower part of the skirt (2) by the bridges that can be broken (5) and a second part consisting of a multiplicity of tabs (6) connected to the first part (4A) by thinner areas (7) forming a hinge, each tab having a heel (8) and a thinner extension (9). The tabs (6) form with the annular part (4A) an acute angle having its apex on the thinner areas (7) and are turned to the inside of the cap. Sealing means are explained.
Abstract: A closure device for both smooth necked and threaded necked containers includes a tamperproof cap frangibly affixed to the container for selective removal by manipulation of the cover. Upon breaking the tamperproof seal by cover manipulation, the cap may be retained within the cover to avoid disposal problems and to serve as a sealing component when the container is resealed after initial opening occurs.
Abstract: A process for presetting a dry offset printing machine intended for printing cylindrical or conical workpieces, in which presetting templates are prepared from a matrix film which is also used for producing the working blocks and perform the function of permanently setting the machine so that the subsequent introduction of blocks merely requires simple checking.
Abstract: A pull tab for an easy opening can for tearing a pull panel to separate the panel from the can end. The tab is attached to the pull panel by an integral strap which is spirally wound to encircle the anterior portion. The spiral feature provides high shearing stress at the initiation of panel opening and then a flexible connection with the removable panel during continued opening to panel removal.
Abstract: An inviolability device which makes it obvious when a container with a screw cap has been opened for the first time. This device comprises a blind tube forming an extension of the neck of the container and being separated therefrom by a weakened zone. The blind tube is broken, at the weakened zone, by an inward driving thereof when the container is opened for the first time. The blind tube and the neck have similar threads thereon with cooperating threads in the screw cap. This device will find particular use in connection with flexible tubes for pharmaceutical or dietetic products.
Abstract: An aerosol dispenser including a outer casing, an product containing bag within said casing and sealingly secured thereto at a point of interconnection between the casing and a cap carrying a dispensing valve. Pressurized propellant is disposed between the casing and the bag.
Abstract: An unrollable rolled edge in cans containing a product under pressure wherein a flat edge of the can is turned outwardly orthogonally and rolled within a rolled edge in which the radius of the rolled portion is less than the length of the flat edge confined therein in a plane passing through the axis of the can.
Abstract: An aerosol dispenser including an outer casing, a product containing bag within said casing and sealingly secured thereto at a point of interconnection between the casing and a cap carrying a dispensing valve. Pressurized propellant is disposed between the casing and the bag.
Abstract: A hermetic closure cap of resilient thermoplastic material constructed so as to be removably securable in an aperture made in a rigid sheet. This cap is retained by a normally non-deformable but laterally retractable part pressing against the edges of the rigid sheet defining the aperture and which cap is maintained in position before opening by a removable locking element which is inserted into a slot in the cap that is of similar cross-section to that of the locking element. The sealing cap thus designed can be used, for example, in cans containing a beverage under pressure.
Abstract: This invention is addressed to a new and improved method for sealing an opening in a rigid panel in which first and second sealing members are inserted into the opening in the rigid panel, and subjected to a first lateral mechanical tension, the members are then heated, preferably by ultrasonic heating means and then the members are subjected to a second mechanical tension.
