Abstract: A decoder to search a tree graph to decode a received signal y. The tree graph may have a plurality of levels, each level having a plurality of nodes and each node representing a different value of an element of a candidate transmit signal s corresponding to the received signal y. The decoder may include a first module to execute a branch prediction at each branch node of the tree graph to select one of a plurality of candidate nodes stemming from the branch node that has a smallest distance increment. The decoder may include a second module, running in parallel to the first module, to evaluate the branch prediction made by the first module at each branch node by computing an accumulated distance of the selected node. If the accumulated distance of the selected node is greater than or equal to a search radius, the first module may override the branch prediction and select an alternative candidate node.

Abstract: The present invention concerns palatable veterinary compositions made from one or more pharmaceutical active ingredients having a smell and/or a taste that is repulsive to animals, and a preparation method for preparing said oral veterinary compositions.
Abstract: A system and method for locking data in a cache memory. A first processing thread may be operated to run a program requesting data, where at least some of the requested data is loaded from a source memory into a non-empty cache. A second processing thread may be operated independently of the first processing thread to determine whether or not to lock the requested data in the cache. If the requested data is determined to be locked, the requested data may be locked in the cache at the same time as the data is loaded into the cache.
Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid pharmaceutical composition, in the form of a suspension of micronized powder of active substance in an acceptable physiological liquid medium, stabilized over time, for administration via the oral route.
Abstract: Mixture of fatty acids, their derivatives, ester or methyl ester derivates thereof, which may be administered to non-human mammals by diffusion in to ambient air during at least seven consecutive days, with a rapid kinetic of diffusion during the first three days of administration.
Abstract: The present invention relates to synthetic proteins and the uses thereof. More particularly, the invention relates to synthetic Circovirus type capsid proteins with improved properties. These proteins, or the coding nucleic acids, are useful e.g., to generate antibodies, immunogen compositions, or vaccines. The invention further relates to methods for treating and/or preventing PCV2-associated diseases in mammals using said proteins, nucleic acids or compositions. The invention also relates to compositions and methods for detecting PCV2 in a sample, using the above proteins, nucleic acids, or antibodies.

Abstract: A topical insecticide preparation is provided which can be safe to use and avoids many common deleterious side effects of conventional topical insecticides. The topical insecticide contains a combination of a first pyrethroid insecticide effective for killing fleas, a second pyrethroid insecticide effective for killing ticks, and an insect growth regulator (IGR). The topical insecticide preparation can be packaged together or packaged so that the first and second pyrethroid insecticides are stored separately prior to administration of the insecticide preparation to the animal. The combination of the first and second pyrethroid insecticides with an insect growth regulator results in an insecticide preparation formulated to have enhanced insecticidal activity against fleas and ticks compared to the effectiveness of the first and second insecticides used alone.

Abstract: A device system and method for processing program instructions, for example, to execute intra vector operations. A fetch unit may receive a program instruction defining different operations on data elements stored at the same vector memory address. A processor may include different types of execution units each executing a different one of a predetermined plurality of elemental instructions. Each program instruction may be a combination of one or more of the elemental instructions. The processor may receive a vector of data elements stored non-consecutively at the same vector memory address to be processed by a same one of the elemental instructions and a vector of configuration values independently associated with executing the same elemental instruction on the non-consecutive data elements. At least two configuration values may be different to implement different operations by executing the same elemental instruction using the different configuration values on the vector of non-consecutive data elements.

Abstract: Multi-layered plastic polymeric container useful for the storage and conservation of pharmaceutical compositions, sterile or non sterile, which comprises an inner layer and an outer layer, a gas barrier layer, and adhesive layers.
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to system and method that enable relatively low power dissipation by scheduling operations of multiply accumulators chain of two or more multiply accumulators units by delivering an output result of a first multiply accumulator of the chain as an input to a second subsequent multiply accumulator of the chain.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the novel Porcine Circovirus type 2 subtype B (PCV2B-Rm) isolate which comprises a short duplication of sequence and is adapted to grow in cell culture and may be propagated at high titres constantly up to 106 TCID50 viral particles per mL. This novel isolate is particularly useful for the production of porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) vaccines, for treating and/or preventing and/or diagnosing porcine circovirus associated diseases, as well as for diagnosing the presence of porcine circovirus in pigs. The present invention also relates to novel cell clones derived from Swine Testicles (ST) useful for propagating PCV2 and to a method for production of PCV2 virus with particularly high titers.

Abstract: The present invention notably relates to ulvan lyases, to nucleic acid sequences coding for these ulvan lyases, to vectors comprising these coding sequences, to a method of manufacturing these ulvan lyases, as well as to a method of degrading ulvans using these ulvan lyases and applicable applications to the degradation products of the ulvans. The ulvan lyases of the present invention, or ulvanolytic protein, are notably defined as proteins of 30 or 46 kD comprising the following four sequences in their peptide sequence: PNDPNLK, LLEVGNTGTFGSTGS, DLANPDNV and WNLPE.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a veterinary anti-prolactin composition to be administered to ruminants. Said composition includes at least one anti-prolactin compound which is an agonist for dopamine receptors and which is particularly useful for preventing and/or reducing the harmful effects in ruminants linked to use for a shortened dry period. Said composition is particularly useful for preventing and/or reducing metabolic diseases and/or reproductive disorders when lactation is resumed.
Abstract: A system, processor, and method are provided for encoding a data block, for example, of digital data. A processor may, from among a plurality of intra frame encoding modes each having a different direction for extrapolating already encoded pixels adjacent to the block, select an intra coding mode having a direction that most closely matches a direction of minimum pixel value change of the block. The processor may compute a predicted intra frame encoding residual data for the block associated with the selected mode based on the difference between the direction of the selected intra frame encoding mode and the direction of minimum pixel value change of the block. The processor may compute inter frame encoding residual data and compare the intra and inter frame encoding residual data. The processor may compress the data block using the intra or inter frame encoding having the smaller residual data.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for positioning a tip of a needle for injection into and/or removal from an egg. The method includes steps of: measuring at least one electrical parameter characteristic of a target zone to obtain a reference electrical value; measuring the electrical parameter at the tip to obtain a value measured at a position of the tip in the egg; and comparing the measured value with a characteristic reference parameter. A system for determining a position of a tip of a needle for injection into and/or removal from an egg is also disclosed.
