Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for facilitating the compilation of measure data. In the context of a method, an example embodiment includes generating, by configuration circuitry of an interpreter, at least one abstract syntax tree based on a CQL file containing measure logic and a CQL grammar file. This example embodiment of the method further includes converting, by the configuration circuitry, the at least one abstract syntax tree into at least one strongly-typed expression tree and storing the at least one strongly-typed expression tree in a memory. Finally, the example embodiment of the method may further include executing, by data evaluation circuitry of the interpreter, the at least one strongly-typed expression tree using retrieved user data. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are hereby provided to detect anatomical elements in a medical image. In this regard, the method, apparatus, and computer program product may receive a test image and generate a classified image by applying an image classifier to the test image. The image classifier may include at least one decision tree for evaluating at least one pixel value of the test image and the classified image may include a plurality of pixel values. Each pixel value may be associated with a probability that an anatomical element is located at the pixel location. The method, apparatus, and computer program product may also evaluate the classified image using an anatomical model to detect at least one anatomical element within the classified image.

Abstract: A method, a computing device and a computer program product are provided in order to automatically apply window leveling to an image, such as a medical image. In the context of a method, a gaze location within an image is determined based upon a determination that a user is staring at the gaze location. The method also determines a region of interest within the image based upon the gaze location and determines pixel values for pixels within the region of interest. The method also establishes window level values based upon the pixel values for pixels within the region of interest and applies window leveling based upon the window level values established based upon the pixel values for pixels within the region of interest.

Abstract: A method, computing device and computer program product are provided in order to utilize a multitouch user interface so as to adjust the window width and window level of an image. In the context of a method, an indication of user input provided via a multitouch user interface is received. The indication of user input includes an indication of respective positions of first and second fingers upon the multitouch user interface. The method also includes adjusting, with processing circuitry, a window width of an image based upon a change in spacing between the first and second fingers. Further, the method includes adjusting, with the processing circuitry, a window level of the image based upon a change in location of a reference point defined by the respective positions of the first and second fingers upon the multitouch user interface.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are described herein that are configured to provide remote access to a workstation operating in a medical domain via a zero configuration protocol. In some example embodiments, a method is provided that comprises activating a viewing application that is configured to connect to a remote workstation, via a zero configuration protocol, and enable a view of medical application data. The method of this embodiment may also include receiving an indication of a current patient context. In some example embodiments, the current patient context identifies the medical application data that is currently being viewed at the remote workstation relating a particular patient that is available for viewing in the viewing application. The method of this embodiment may also include accessing the medical application data in the viewing application based on the current patient context.

Abstract: A method, a computing device and a computer program product are provided to identify an instance in which a pixel visibility loss condition exists following window leveling. In the context of a method, window and level values and corresponding minimum and maximum values for a window are identified. The method then determines whether the pixel visibility loss condition exists based upon one or more of the window and level values, the minimum value or the maximum value. In this regard, the method determines whether a pixel visibility loss condition exists by determining whether there is a gray scale loss, a gray scale compression or a lack of perceptible distinctiveness between pixels within the window. In an instance in which the pixel visibility loss condition exists, the method causes an indication to be provided to a user.

Abstract: A fault-tolerant retry subsystem, method and computer program product are provided in order to automatically retry to deliver a message. In the context of a fault-tolerant retry subsystem, processing circuitry is provided to receive notification that delivery of a message to a subscriber has failed. The processing circuitry also defines a time interval at which delivery of the message is to be retried. The message is to be subjected to a plurality of retry attempts in an instance in which the delivery of the message to the subscriber continues to fail. The time interval is defined in a manner that depends upon which of the plurality of retry attempts is to be performed. As such, the time interval varies between at least some of the retry attempts. The processing circuitry causes the delivery of the message to be retried following expiration the time interval.

Abstract: A method is provided for dynamically displaying graphical and textual overlays on geospatial arrangements. Glyph information provided by one or more third party systems may be stored in a centralized system. Upon request from a client terminal, the glyph information may be applied to a geospatial arrangement to generate an updated map to be displayed by the client terminal. Newly created glyphs, including new visual content, may be provided seamlessly after initial configuration.

Abstract: A transcription method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to permit a transcripted text report to be efficiently reviewed. In the context of a method, an audio file and a transcripted text report corresponding to the audio file may be received. For each of a plurality of positions within the transcripted text report, the method correlates the respective position within the transcripted text report with a corresponding position within the audio file. The method also augments the transcripted text report to include a plurality of selectable elements. Each selectable element is associated with a respective position within the transcripted text report. The selectable elements are responsive to user actuation in order to cause the audio file to move to the corresponding position. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.

In the context of a method, data elements associated with image slices of the image study of a patient are accessed. The data elements are representative of one or more characteristics of the image slices, but do not include picture elements that comprise the image slices. The method also includes reviewing the data elements associated with at least some image slices of the image study of the patient. The method further includes detecting the anatomical marker within the image study based upon a review of the data elements and identifying a subset of the image slices of the image study based upon the anatomical marker or a distance from the anatomical marker.

The extraction code is instantiated using the requested data type by calling a generic extraction code, accessing relationship data associated with serialized data stored in a data platform using the generic extraction code, such as with reference to an ontology library of the API. A type of a data item and a relationship of the data item with other data items stored in the data platform may thus be determined based on a structure of the serialized data accessed. A requested data item is then extracted from the data platform using the instantiated extraction code.
