Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product provide improved image processing techniques. An example of a method includes receiving a source image, programmatically identifying a plurality of anatomical elements within the source image through use of a computer vision technique, determining a first region of the source image corresponding to a first anatomical element, determining a second region of the source image corresponding to a second anatomical element, applying at least one first configuration setting to the first region, applying at least one second configuration setting to the second region, the at least one second configuration setting different from the at least one first configuration setting, and generating a merged image, wherein the merged image comprises the first region as visualized according to the at least one first configuration setting and the second region as visualized according to the at least one second configuration setting.

Abstract: An event-driven system, method and computer program product are provided to selectively generate events in response to receipt of data elements. The event-driven system includes processing circuitry configured to identify, in response to receipt of one or more data elements, an event that is impacted by the one or more data elements. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine whether at least a threshold number of consumers are currently listening for the event. In an instance in which at least a threshold number of consumers are currently listening for the event, the processing circuitry is configured to perform one or more computations based upon the one or more data elements to generate the event. Otherwise, however, the processing circuitry is configured to at least defer the one or more computations that would be performed upon the one or more data elements to generate the event.

Abstract: A method, computing device and computer program product are provided to obtain information from a plurality of dissimilar records by estimating the most accurate value for each field of the plurality of records. A computing device may include processing circuitry configured to: receive a first record including two or more elements, where a first element of the first record has a first value; receive a second record comprising two or more elements, where a first element of the second record has a second value; receive a third record having two or more elements, where a first element of the third record has a third value; and determine a resultant value for the first element, where the resultant value for the first element is determined based on a frequency of occurrence of a value for the first element among the first value, the second value, and the third value.

Abstract: A method, computing device and computer program product are provided according to an example embodiment in order to replicate data, and more particularly, to replicate data between data centers while ensuring data consistency, where all participating data centers have both read and write capabilities for the data stored among them. According to an example embodiment, a replication framework including a replication client and replicator service, may include processing circuitry configured to: receive at least one revised data element at the replication client; retrieve a first version identification of a first existing data element stored in a first data center corresponding to the revised data element; cause the revised data element to be stored at a first data center, replacing the corresponding first existing data element; generate a replication event including the revised data element and the version identification; and receive, at the replicator service, the replication event.

Abstract: A method, computing device and computer program product are provided according to an example embodiment in order to track context synchronization of files operating on a plurality of participating applications. A synchronization tracking tool may receive contexts from a plurality of participating applications and provide an indication of a synchronization state based upon the timing and contexts received from the participating applications. An indication of the synchronization state may be provided to a user via a user interface in a visual and/or audible manner. The participating applications may further request synchronization state information from the synchronization tool.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for improving throughput in a distributed transaction processing system. In the context of a method, an example embodiment includes receiving information regarding a change in state of a particular transaction recorded by the distributed transaction processing system. This example embodiment of the method further includes updating, by state machine query circuitry of a networked device within the distributed transaction processing system and based on the received information, a state of a primary state machine associated with the particular transaction. Finally, the example embodiment of the method further includes updating, by state machine query circuitry of a networked device within the distributed transaction processing system and based on the received information, a state of a primary state machine associated with the particular transaction. Corresponding apparatuses and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for determining, by a master queue service, that one or more database event records are present in a master input queue, wherein each of the one or more database event records corresponds to an occurrence of an event at a database, causing, by the master queue service, moving of the one or more database event records from the master input queue to a master output queue, determining, by the master queue service, one or more processes associated with the one or more database event records, and causing, by the master queue service, adding of the one or more database event records to one or more process queues for the one or more processes.

Abstract: A method is provided for providing superviews of geospatial arrangements. Users may configure a superview by providing a unit(s) and filtering criteria. Subunits belonging to the unit(s) and satisfying the filtering criteria may be displayed in a graphical superview, including additional pertinent information relative to the subunits. The graphical superview may be updated automatically to reflect the most up to date information. A server may be preconfigured to receive a superview configuration and automatically cause the corresponding graphical superview to be displayed on a client device.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided in order to provide an efficient interface across multiple devices. The method, apparatus and computer program product may utilize multiple devices communicating with a macro identification module to identify macros from among input received from two or more of the devices to control operation of a target device. Input from each device may be received via a bridge module according to a framework for identifying input macros received from the multiple devices. One or more of the devices may execute the macro identification module to receive input via a bridge interface, or the macro identification module may be separate from the multiple devices. When macros are identified by the macro identification module, the macro identification module may communicate with an application executing on the target device to control the application.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to enhance medical images by utilizing an enhancement function in order to permit a user to more efficiently and effectively read the medical images and provide diagnostic or other information based upon the enhanced images. In the context of a method, a medical image is received that has a plurality of pixels with respective pixel values. The method also enhances the medical image utilizing an enhancement function. The enhancement function varies depending upon the pixel value of a respective pixel. For example, the enhancement function of one embodiment may be a piecewise function. As such, the method enhances the medical image by modifying a representation of the medical image in accordance with the enhancement function.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are therefore provided in order to provide for display of waveforms. An example method may include displaying a first waveform, receiving an input selecting a portion of the first waveform, and generating, using a processor, an interface control displaying the selected portion of the first waveform. The interface control may include a semi-transparent display area and the selected portion of the first waveform may be displayed on the semi-transparent display area. The method may also include displaying the interface control concurrently with a second waveform such that at least a portion of the second waveform is visible through the semi-transparent display area of the interface control.

An example of the method includes receiving, via an electronic communications interface, client credential information indicating at least one user or client facility, executing a first instance of an application by a processor, the first instance of the application comprising at least one feature selectively enabled or disabled by the framework, determining, during execution of the first instance of the application, a feature identifier associated with the at least one feature, retrieving feature information from a client feature table using at least the client credential information, determining whether the at least one feature is enabled for the at least one user or client facility, and, in response to determining that the at least one feature is enabled for the at least one user or client facility, executing the at least one feature.

Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer-readable storage medium are provided for processing images, such as medical images, in accordance with an imaging calibration function during execution of an image viewing application, and also for processing other types of images with a different calibration function during execution of a different application. In regards to an apparatus, the apparatus is caused to identify, in conjunction with an image viewing application, an imaging calibration function. The apparatus is also caused to transform a digital image during execution of the image viewing application in accordance with the imaging calibration function and to output the digital image, following transformation, in accordance with the image viewing application.
