Abstract: An integrated system for treating and recycling rainwater in a residential community. The residential community includes low-lying land. The integrated system includes a primary channel for receiving and treating initial rainwater, a baffled water treatment pool, and a reservoir. The primary channel includes an external wall and an inner wall. The baffled water treatment pool includes a water inlet which is disposed on the inner wall of the primary channel. The reservoir includes a water inlet, a gravel filter layer, and an overflow wall. The primary channel, the baffled water treatment pool, and the reservoir are disposed in the low-lying land. The primary channel is annular and surrounds the baffled water treatment pool and the reservoir. The overflow wall of the reservoir cuts off the annular primary channel. The baffled water treatment pool and the reservoir are adjacent to each other and are divided by a shared wall.

  • Patent number: 8647278
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments include a system and a method for determining intracranial pressure (ICP) of a subject that comprises: (a) applying transcranial Doppler (TCD) to determine the middle cerebral artery (MCA) velocity of the subject and estimating changes in the ICP continuously based on a functional mapping that relates arterial blood pressure (ABP) and cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV) to ICP, resulting in an estimated ICP trend; (b) generating a flash visual evoked potential (FVEP) on the subject, processing a detected FVEP signal and obtaining an estimated ICP; and (c) combining the estimated ICP trend from TCD CBFV and ABP with the estimated ICP obtained by signal processing of the detected FVEP signal to periodically correct the trend and obtain a non-invasive measure of ICP.

  • Publication number: 20130186311
Abstract: It is disclosed a two-section type waste incinerator, wherein secondary air supplying holes (27e) are provided on a front arch and a back arch of an incinerator body (27), and an ignition combustion-supporting hole (27f) is provided on the back arch of the incinerator body. Grate inside the incinerator body (27) is divided into two sections from a high point to a low point, i.e., an upper section and a lower section, the upper section is a pusher type section (6) and the lower section is a reverse pusher type section (7), and an independent primary air chamber (26) is provided under each section. All heads of the grate-pieces (3, 5) on the pusher type section (6) face toward a low point of the grate, and all heads of the grate-pieces (3, 5) on the reverse pusher type section (7) face toward a high point of the grate.

  • Patent number: 8228859
Abstract: The present invention is intended to protect an industrial wireless communication method based on self-adaptive channel hopping within timeslot, which belongs to industrial wireless communication technology field. Aiming to solving existing problem that wireless devices can not correspondingly self-adaptive channel hopping according to environment changing, a method for making the two communication sides self-generate and execute channel switch when the preferred channel was interfered. The sender will monitor whether the channel is idle within SWTW before sending data through mechanisms such as CCA or non-persistent CSMA. If the channel is still busy till the SWTW times out, the sender will give up sending data and implement channel switching control command by considering this communications channel as interfered. If no packets were received till the RWTW time-outs, the receiver will thinks the communication channel was interfered and automatically implement channel switching control commands.

  • Publication number: 20060121531
Abstract: The present invention relates to the device for animal inspection and quarantine and the preparation method thereof. The present invention is especially applicable to the detection of the pathogen of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) (also known as “mad cow disease”). The present invention employs a piezoelectric chip, a microelectrode array and a common electrode fixed on the lower side surface and upper side surface of the piezoelectric chip, respectively, and a BSE PrP antibody array to constitute the piezoelectric biochip for the detection of the BSE pathogen. The BSE PrP antibodies are immobilized on the electrodes of the microelectrode array in a format corresponding uniquely to the electrodes of the microelectrode array by adsorbing, bonding, cross-linking, embedding or self-assembly process. The combination of the piezoelectric biochip and a detector constitutes the piezoelectric biochip detection system for the BSE pathogen.
