  • Patent number: 5651243
Abstract: A cutting and transporting mechanism for stalk harvesting products comprises at least one cutting disc, at least transporting disc arranged coaxially relative to the cutting disc and provided with a plurality of transporting prongs arranged on a circumference of the transporting disc, a rotatable reamer associated with the transporting prongs at a discharge location. The rotating reamer has a rotary axis located inside a circumference of the transporting disc and is driven in a direction corresponding to a direction of rotation of the transporting disc. The cutting discs carry on their outer sides catching strips extending at a flat angle .beta. to the tangent. • Patent number: 5546737
Abstract: A mowing device for stalky stem products has a cutting disc rotatable about a substantially vertical axis, and a transporting disc rotatable coaxially to the cutting disc at a distance from the latter and having a plurality of pocket-shaped recesses on its periphery for receiving stalky stem products. The cutting disc and the transporting disc are driven in opposite directions. A drive drives the cutting disc and the transporting disc in different directions. Also, the cutting disc on the upper side over its periphery can be provided with approximately gap-less elements suitable for preventing falling of stem product stalks cut by the cutting disc.

  • Patent number: 5343676
Abstract: In a device for recognizing ferromagnetic foreign bodies, for protecting the working members of a harvesting machine, having a magnetic field generating device (9), the lines of flux of which run transversely to the direction of transport, and having assigned pick-up coils (15; 16; 17), it is intended to improve the recognition range across the entire width of the feed system, whilst keeping costs low. At the same time, it is intended better to suppress disturbance signals. For this purpose, the magnetic field generating device (9) comprises an odd number of magnetic poles (12; 13; 14), the two outer magnetic poles (13; 14) possessing the same polarity. At least every second magnetic pole (12) is enclosed by a pick-up coil (15). Expediently, three magnetic poles (12; 13; 14) are present, which are all enclosed by a pick-up coil (15; 16; 17) each. The pick-up coils (15; 16; 17) are connected up such that the induced voltages are added together.

  • Patent number: 5329753
Abstract: A corn harvesting implement for a field chopping machine has a drawing-in trough, a plurality of transporting passages supported on the drawing-in trough, the transporting passages including at least two outer transporting passages which are foldable upwardly to a transporting position for obtaining a smaller transporting width and foldable outwardly to a working position. The transporting passages also include stationary transporting passages. The transporting passages are arranged so that in the working position a predetermined distance is provided between at a part of at least one of the upwardly foldable transporting passages and at least a part of a neighboring part of the stationary transporting passages. Means for increasing the distance at least before a beginning of folding the upwardly foldable passages from the working position to the transporting position is provided.

  • Patent number: 5096132
Abstract: A supporting and adjusting device for a counter-cutter rail of a field chopper having a cutting element with a partially surrounding bottom, the device comprises a saddle arranged so that the countercutter rail can lie on the saddle, two levers supported outside a surface of the cutting element and adjusting a distance from the saddle to the outer surface of the cutting element, the saddle being fixedly connectable with the countercutter rail and adjustable about a stationary axis extending parallel to a circumference of the cutting elements so that the saddle together with the countercutter rail can be adjusted to be at different distances to the outer surface of the cutting element.
