Abstract: A pivot motor has a stator and an armature. The armature has an assembly of two spaced permanent magnets and a triangular flux bridge on one end. Magnetic flux is generated by passing alternating current through an electrical coil in the stator. The flux flows through the permanent magnets to generate electromotive force that vibrates the armature. The triangular flux bridge adjacent the magnets facilitates the flux flow, increasing motor power under typical load conditions and motor efficiency.

Abstract: An attachment comb is provided for a hair clipper, and includes a comb body having a leading edge and an attachment edge, a blade-engaging surface and an opposite outer surface, and a plurality of teeth projecting from the leading edge. Sidewalls on the comb body project from the body, and at least one of the sidewalls defines a magnet opening. The blade-engaging surface has a magnet recess located adjacent a corresponding magnet opening, the magnet recess defining a magnet pocket. A magnet has a peripherally projecting base flange and is constructed and arranged for insertion through the magnet opening and such that the flange is insertable into the recess and the magnet is disposed in the magnet pocket so that a blade contacting surface of the magnet is in direct contact with a corresponding clipper blade upon assembly of the comb upon a clipper blade.

Abstract: A brush configured for removing debris and hairs is provided. Included in the brush are at least one surfaced body having a pad, and a plurality of first bristles extending from the pad. One end of each first bristle is connected to the pad, and an opposite free end of each first bristle has a radially extending head portion. At least one additional head portion is disposed in a spaced relationship along a longitudinal axis of the first bristle.

Abstract: A multi-part hair clipper housing lid is provided that is configured for engagement upon a main hair clipper housing. The lid includes a base having an interior portion defined by an interior edge, a trim piece having an outer trim edge configured for locating on the interior edge, the trim piece defining an inner space defined by an inner peripheral edge, and a cover configured for seating upon the inner peripheral edge and covering the inner space. The cover is constructed and arranged such that upon being fastened to the main housing, the trim piece is retained upon the base.

Abstract: An adjustable hair trimmer blade set is provided, including a blade chassis, a blade platform linearly displaceable relative to the blade chassis, a stationary blade secured to the blade platform, and a moving blade constructed and arranged for slidable linear reciprocation relative to the stationary blade in a direction of cutting action. An offset rod has at least one offset cam lobe and is rotatably engaged in the chassis along an axis generally parallel to the direction of cutting action. A retaining spring has at least one loop engaged by the offset rod for holding the spring in operational relationship to the chassis.
