The cylindrical body may be made of dissolvable material comprising an external surface, and an inner bore surface formed around the tube. The cylindrical body is soft, moldable, and expandable vertical to the tube to form an in-situ plug at downhole.

    Abstract: Nano- and micro-particles (NMP) can be formed from an oil/water emulsion. The emulsion is made by mixing a liquid solvent, at least one surfactant, a particle-forming compound, and at least curing agent. If desired, pH control agents and viscosity enhancers can be added to the liquid solvent. The particle-forming compound and the curing agents are mixed together and form the oil phase in the emulsion and after curing, the particles are formed. The nano- and micro-particles can be used as proppant to enhance the conductivity of nano- and microfractures and fluid-loss-control additive for hydraulic fracturing operations.

    Abstract: The drilling system withstands downhole conditions at the bottom of the borehole and drilling conditions due to the constant movement and vibration. The drilling system includes a drill bit and a sensor system with a system housing, a primary power supply and interior sensor. The primary power supply includes piezoelectric panels for converting radial vibration into energy. The interior sensor is locally powered by the primary power supply at the remote downhole location at the bottom of the borehole. The interior sensor collects data related to a downhole condition and is in communication with the primary power supply to generate confirmed data based on the amount of energy generated by the primary power supply. The confirmed data is more accurate and reliable than the data collected by the interior sensor and can be used to guide the path of the drill bit through the rock formation in drilling operations.

A simplified setting action sets the high expansion of the slip device by the core cone and the segmented cone. The segmented cone and the segmented cap member increase expansion of the slip device, and the segmented cap member and the core cap member lock the slip device around the core cone in the final expansion configuration at the maximum radial expansion for large diameter portions of the borehole.
