Abstract: A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a reflection-type optical encoder scale capable of sufficiently reducing the reflectance on a low reflection region. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a reflection-type optical encoder scale comprising a high reflection region and a low reflection region alternately placed on a substrate, wherein the low reflection region includes a low reflection portion including a metallic chromium film formed on the substrate, and a chromium oxide film and a chromium nitride film randomly formed on the metallic chromium film; and the high reflection region has higher reflectance of incident light from opposite side to the substrate of the reflection-type optical encoder scale, than the low reflection region.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide sperm having high motility. The present invention is a composition for treating sperm that comprises medium for mesenchymal stem cells. This composition for treating sperm is used as a sperm preparing solution, a sperm diluting solution, a sperm storage solution, an artificial insemination solution, an in vitro fertilization solution, a solution for improving sperm motility, or a solution for retaining sperm fertilizing capabilities. Additionally, the medium for mesenchymal stem cells contained in the composition for treating sperm is preferably a serum-free medium.

The method includes: obtaining first description information, where the first description information is used to describe a first row group, the first row group is a row group stored by a first storage system within a specified time period, and the first row group includes at least one row of data; and storing the first row group in a second storage system based on the first description information. Abstract: It is an object to provide a seat cover attaching device for preventing a cover from returning in pulling and attaching the cover. An attaching device includes: a compressing mechanism that compresses a pad of a seat placed in an upside-down state on a support part from a rear surface that is opposite to a sitting surface; and a pressing mechanism that presses a cover onto a surface of the pad. The pressing mechanism has a leading roller that rolls over an outer surface of the cover while pressing the cover onto the pad to thereby pull the cover and a following roller that follows the leading roller at a distance behind the leading roller. The leading roller and the following roller move from the sitting surface to a side surface of the pad via a ridge portion defined by the sitting surface and the side surface.

Backflow water is discharged from the ejector's gap. Since the ejection hole and injection hole are on opposite sides of the housing, and because their diameters are approximately equal water flowing to the injection hole covers as much of the injection hole as possible. The waterway's inlet end downstream of the injection hole is closed to maintain pressure. During supply of water, water flow is prevented from passing through the gap and relieving pressure.

Abstract: The invention provides a method by which a valuable metal is recovered, in particular iron. A method for producing a valuable metal containing cobalt (Co), the method comprising: a preparation step in which a starting material that contains at least iron (Fe) and a valuable metal is prepared; a melting step in which a melt is obtained by heating and melting the starting material, and the melt is subsequently formed into a molten material that contains an alloy and slag; and a slag separation step in which the slag is separated from the molten material, thereby recovering the alloy containing the valuable metal. In the preparation step, the Fe/Co mass ratio in the starting material is controlled to 0.5 or less; and in the melting step, the Co content in the slag that is obtained by heating and melting the starting material is set to 1% by mass or less.
