Abstract: A vehicle for moving trailers that are not coupled to their usual towing vehicle in which steering is conducted by an operator walking next to the vehicle and moving separate ones of a pair of levers for a pair of hydraulically driven wheels that control speed and direction of rotation. Two sets of levers are provided, one at each side of the vehicle so that the operator can use either set.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining color, presence and/or polarity of a component in a printed circuit board includes a sensor and an LED positioned behind a faceplate. The faceplate abuts the component and light is reflected from the LED off the component and received by the sensor. A resulting output signal is analyzed to determine the color, presence and/or polarity of the component in the printed circuit board, thereby ensuring that the printed circuit board is correctly assembled.
Abstract: To provide a learning system which can supply a high-quality learning information to a student, a learning system (10) connects a terminal device (41A) for a student having an operating portion (45) and a display portion (44) displaying an image visible by the student, to a terminal device (41B) for instructor having a display portion (44) displaying an image visible by an instructor, so as to freely communicate, and transmits and receives learning information relating to a learning between them, the terminal device (41A) for student sequentially collects learning operation information on the basis of operation of the operating portion (45) with respect to question information relating to the learning displayed on the display portion (44) so as to transmit, and an image relating to the learning operation information is sequentially displayed on the display portion (44).
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a color and brightness of an LED includes a sensor having a plurality of filters and an output probe connected to the sensor, the output probe providing a color output and a brightness output in a single signal. The sensor may further include an input probe connected to the sensor providing power and a ground probe connected to the sensor providing a grounded connection to the sensor. The plurality of filters in the sensor are preferably configured in a matrix array of color receptors having different colors.
Abstract: A vehicle suspension system includes a trailing arm, an air spring, and a shock absorber for providing a smooth ride in a vehicle. A bracket pivotally mounts one end of the trailing arm to the frame of the vehicle while the other end of the trailing arm is joined to the frame by a shock absorber and an air spring. The shock absorber and the air spring both extend from the trailing arm to the frame and mount to the trailing arm at a position rearward of the axle. The shock absorber is mounted to the trailing arm rearward of the air spring.
Abstract: A window assembly comprising an elongated transparent pane, at least one lighting assembly and at least one opaque covering, the elongated transparent pane having the opaque covering associated with the interior surface thereof and having the lighting assembly mounted adjacent the interior surface of the opaque covering, the opaque covering having at least one aperture disposed therethrough wherein light emanating from the lighting assembly is visible from the exterior surface of the window assembly.
Abstract: Electronic commerce systems and methods are described in which a customer accrues and receives an accounting of net present value (“NPV”) in exchange for purchasing goods and/or services from one or more vendors in a first group of vendors. The NPV may be in the form of monetary credits and/or rebates. The customer realizes an accrued NPV by receiving discounts and/or rebates commensurate with the NPV on purchases of goods and/or services from one or more vendors in a second group of vendors.
Abstract: An apparatus for carrying cargo on a roof of a recreational vehicle which has a rooftop air conditioning unit is provided and has a space or well that is configured for receipt of the rooftop air conditioning unit therein. The cargo carrier may have cargo-receiving spaces in front of, in back of, and alongside the air conditioning unit. An upper frame member of the cargo carrier may provide a mounting area that is above or even with a top of the air conditioning unit.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a color and brightness of an LED includes a sensor having a plurality of filters arranged in a matrix and an output probe connected to the sensor, the output probe providing a color output and a brightness output in a single signal. The sensor may further include an input probe connected to the sensor providing power and a ground probe connected to the sensor providing a grounded connection to the sensor. The plurality of filters in the sensor are preferably configured in a matrix array of color receptors having different colors.
Abstract: A stepwell cover apparatus for use in a vehicle having a stepwell including a step that is located below the floor of the vehicle. The apparatus includes a horizontal cover that may be retracted to a position below the floor in order to expose the steps of the stepwell and may be extended to a position flush with the floor in order to conceal the steps of the stepwell. In addition, the stepwell cover apparatus includes a drive mechanism for driving the horizontal cover between the fully extended and the fully retracted positions, a guide mechanism for guiding the horizontal cover during movement and pivot members that cooperate with the drive and guide mechanisms to raise the horizontal cover to a level flush with the floor when the cover reaches the fully extended position.

Abstract: A method for providing weight and nutritional information involves input of subject data such as weight, body fat percentage, and expected activity levels. The method allows users to input an assessment of a subject, which can be used to generate a weight plan for the subject. The weight plan can include minimum weights for the subject, each of the minimum weights being associated with a time. The method can also be used to generate a nutrition plan based on the subject data entered. A subject can build the nutrition plan by responding to a series of food exchange item prompts.

Abstract: A pitching apparatus is provided that teaches the fundamental techniques of a desired pitch through the regulation and control of a control arm. The pitching apparatus consists of a mechanical box housing, a control arm, and a control box housing. The mechanical box housing utilizes a vertical axis member, a collar with a cutout, and a latch to position the control arm into a locked position. A light emitting diode sensor and a solenoid coact to release the control arm from the locked position and a spring mechanism moves the control arm into a rest position. The control box housing supports a control panel and is used to regulate and control the mechanics of the mechanical box housing in accordance with the selected pitch that the pitcher would like to learn.
