Abstract: Process for thickening a composition, through the use of a direct emulsion in water, which is alkali-swellable, of a polymer of the ASE or HASE type, which is both rich in acrylic acid and which has a certain quantity of AMPS. The use of such emulsions simultaneously allows there to be no obligation to use surfactants and organic solvents other than water, and allows the thickening phenomenon to be activated for pHs of less than 7: this latter characteristic is particularly advantageous for formulations intended to he used in contact with skin.
Abstract: The present invention relates to new associative thickeners belonging to the category of HEUR (Hydrophobically modified Ethoxylated URethane), as well as intermediate aqueous compositions containing such thickeners and end formulations, for example formulations of paint, lacquer, varnish or paper coating colour.
Abstract: The present invention pertains to new alkali swellable thickening emulsions, free of surfactants and solvents other than water: as a result, all drawbacks related to the use of solvents, or to the formation of foam in the case of surfactants, are avoided. These new emulsions contain a certain quantity of 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropane sulfonic acid (or AMPS, CAS #: 40623-75-4). They have proven effective at thickening aqueous mediums, particularly water-based paints, paper coatings, aqueous suspensions of mineral materials, detergents, cosmetic formulations, or formulations containing a hydraulic binder.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical field of hydraulic compositions, for example concrete and mortar compositions. More precisely, the present patent application relates to a slump retaining agent which is compatible with a water-reducing agent of hydrophilic comb polymer type.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for solvent-free preparation of a polymer of (meth)acrylic acid in solution, said polymer having a molecular weigh of less than 8,000 g/mol and a polydispersity index (PI) of 2 to 5 by radical polymerization.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel method for preparing a (meth)acrylic acid polymer in an aqueous solution, said polymer having a molecular mass lower than 8000 g/mol, for example using copper carbonate and iron sulphate (or the derivatives thereof).
Abstract: The present invention concerns polymeric-enveloped microparticles including at least one HASE type acrylic copolymer, at least one solid-liquid phase change material with a phase transition temperature ranging from 20 to 90° C., and at least one active agent. In particular, the microparticles include at least one HASE type acrylic copolymer including at least one anionic monomer with a polymerizable vinyl group and a carboxyl group, at least one non-ionic hydrophobic monomer with a polymerizable vinyl group, and at least one alkoxylated associative macromonomer with a polymerizable vinyl group and a hydrophobic hydrocarbon chain.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the technical field of hydraulic compositions, for example concrete and mortar compositions. More specifically, the present patent application relates to additives used in hydraulic compositions, to the compositions containing same, and also to the method for preparing these additives and to the various uses thereof.
Abstract: Non water-soluble polymers with a comb structure and a (meth)acrylic skeleton on which are grafted side chains containing at least one hydrophobic monomer of the styrene or (meth)acrylic ester type on C1 to C4, and at least one hydroxy or methoxy polylakylene glycol monomer. The levels of monomers are such that the polymer is amphiphilic because it is both rich in hydrophobic monomer and polylakylene glycol monomer. These products, used in paper coating dispersions, enable an increase in their Brookfield™ viscosity, a reduction in their ACAV viscosity, and an improvement in their water retention, which makes them particularly well suited for dry extract and/or high deposit speed coatings.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a new solvent-free preparation method of a (meth)acrylic acid polymer in solution, where said polymer has a molecular weight less than 8,000 g/mol and a polydispersity IP index between 2 and 3 by radical polymerization, the polymers obtained by this means, and their applications in industry.

Abstract: Agent for obtaining a stable aqueous composition comprising a polymer constituted of: at least one A monomer of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid and/or any of their salts, at least one B monomer of alkyl acrylate and/or methacrylate, and at least one C monomer corresponding to the following formula (I): T-[(EO)n(PO)n?(BO)n?]-Z ??(I) ?in which: T represents one end enabling the co-polymerization of the C monomer, [(EO)n(PO)n?(BO)n?] represents a polyalkoxylated chain constituted of alkoxylated units, distributed into blocks, alternatively or statistically, chosen from among EO ethoxylated units, PO propoxylated units and BO butoxylated units, representing, independently from each other, 0 or a whole number between 1 and 150, the sum of n, -n? and n? not being null, and Z represents a fatty chain, linear or branched, of at least 16 carbon atoms, at least one crosslinked monomer D.
Abstract: The present invention concerns new associative thickening agents belonging to the category of HEURs (Hydrophobically modified Ethylene oxide URethane). These products contain an original associative monomer with a base of alkyl cyclohexanol alkoxylates. Their thickening power is equal to or greater than that procured by HEUR associative thickening agents of the prior art containing grafted alkyl phenols. An efficient substitute product is therefore available, which is free of alkyl phenols, matching current market demand.
