Abstract: An oral care system that includes an oral care implement and a tracking attachment. The oral care implement may include a handle and a head. The tracking attachment is detachably coupled to the oral care implement. The tracking attachment may include a first component comprising a first housing having an inner surface that defines a first cavity and a second component comprising a second housing having an inner surface that defines a second cavity. When the tracking attachment is coupled to the oral care implement, a first portion of the handle is positioned within the first cavity and a second portion of the handle is positioned within the second cavity.

Abstract: A system for dispensing a personal care fluid, such as a hand soap or the like. The system includes a dispenser and a refill cartridge. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a refill cavity and a dispenser lid configured to be coupled to the dispenser body. There may be a pump sub-system mounted to the dispenser lid, or alternatively the personal care fluid may be dispensed by squeezing the dispenser and refill cartridge. The refill cartridge is configured for slidable insertion into and removal from the refill cavity of the dispenser body. The personal care fluid system is designed so that a user can readily and easily change out/replace the refill cartridge for use with a common dispenser, dispenser lid, and pump sub-system.

Abstract: Described herein are fabric softening compositions novel fabric softeners and conditioners that comprises a formula with a polyhydric alcohol (e.g., glycerin) and a nonionic cellulose ether (e.g., hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC)) backbone, and a plant-based softening agent comprising one or more agents selected from: a plasticizer, wherein the plasticizer is further selected from the group consisting of isopropyl myristate, isopropyl palmitate, isodecyl neopentanoate, isodecyl oleate, and diisopropyl adipate, or a partially hydrolyzed plant protein. Methods of manufacturing are also contemplated.

Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to oral care compositions comprising a source of zinc, a fluoride source, a zwitterionic surfactant and a taurate surfactant. In one aspect the compositions of the disclosure can be used for the treatment or reduction of erosive tooth demineralization, gingivitis, plaque, and dental caries. In one aspect the oral care composition includes zinc citrate, zinc oxide, arginine, cocamidopropyl betaine and at least one taurate surfactant (e.g., sodium methyl cocoyl taurate).

Abstract: Methods for visualizing oral biofilm growth and methods for identifying compounds that modulate biofilm growth are provided. Biofilm samples are stained with fluorescent dyes and viewed with a confocal laser scanning microscope. Biofilm samples are in a container with a cover slip configured for viewing the biofilm sample with the confocal laser scanning microscope and the coverslip has a thickness variation of 0.02 mm or less.

Abstract: An toothbrush having a handle and a head. The handle may include a first component and a second component covering at least a portion of the first component. The first and second components may be chemically compatible. The first and second components may both comprise a hard polyolefin. The first and second components may have different transparencies. In one aspect, the first component may be opaque and the second component may be transparent or semi-transparent. In some aspects, the handle may also include a third component comprising a thermoplastic elastomer. Furthermore, there may be at least one projection extending outwardly from an outer surface of the first component.

The method may include flowing a fluid along a first capillary member from a reservoir of a fluid supply system to an applicator of a personal care implement along a first fluid flow path, and flowing the fluid along a second capillary member from the reservoir of the fluid supply system to the applicator of the personal care implement along a second fluid flow path that is distinct from the first flow path. In one aspect, the fluid flowing along the second fluid flow path reaches the applicator before the fluid flowing along the first fluid flow path. In another aspect, the first capillary member is formed of a non-absorbent material and the second capillary member is formed of an absorbent material.

In response to a voltage signal, the drive shaft is oscillated in an oscillatory motion having an oscillation amplitude. A control circuit includes, in operable cooperation, a user interface, a processor, a pulse width modulation signal generator, and a power source. The control circuit supplies the voltage signal to the electric motor, the voltage signal having a frequency and a duty cycle. The control circuit varies the frequency and the duty cycle of the voltage signal in response to an oscillation adjustment input received from the user interface so that the oscillation amplitude of the drive shaft is varied along a substantially linear rate of change profile relative to the frequency.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for monitoring acne is disclosed. A sensor device includes an image sensor and a position sensor. A processing device receives image data and position data from the sensor device. The processing device then combines portions of the image data for different images to generate composite image data, the combination being based on the corresponding position data for each image. A user interface displays a composite image of the user's skin based on the composite image data, the composite image including a skin condition indicator.
