Abstract: Disclosed herein are dentifrices comprising a zinc amino acid complex together with soluble phosphate salts. Methods of making and using the dentifrices are also provided.

Abstract: A fluid delivery apparatus including a reservoir containing at least one fluid. A capillary channel extends from the reservoir to deliver the fluids stored in the reservoir through one or more fluid outlets via capillary action. In one embodiment, an applicator formed of a capillary material is located within the outlet. A variety of fluids can be administered for therapeutic, hygienic, and/or other benefits. In one aspect, the apparatus includes a housing defining a reservoir; at least one fluid stored in the reservoir; and a capillary channel in fluid coupling with the at least one fluid, the capillary channel including a first capillary member and a second capillary member that circumferentially surrounds the first capillary member such that the first and second capillary members are concentric.

Abstract: The disclosure provides method for preparing a food product is described which includes mixing a dry ingredient composition, a protein-containing composition, and an alginate composition to provide a first mixture, mixing the first mixture with a setting composition to effect a controlled rate gelation reaction, and processing the product of the gelation reaction to provide a food product. The disclosure also provides pet food compositions comprising food products prepared according to the disclosed process.

Abstract: A laundry additive composition comprising a) at least one oxylated material chosen from polyoxyalkylene, a polyoxyalkylene fatty acid ester, and a polyoxyalkylene fatty alcohol ether; b) a polyol; c) a coloring agent; and d) at least one additive chosen from fragrance and a fabric treatment material. The composition can deliver the additive to clothing during washing or rinsing of the clothes, such as to impart a fragrance to clothing.

Abstract: This application provides, among other things, novel aqueous oral care compositions useful for combining and delivering poorly compatible ingredients, for example to deliver effective levels of cationic antibacterial agents in combination with short chain polyphosphate salts that protect against erosion and staining, by addition of a stabilizing amount of an anionic surfactant and methods for making and using the same.

Abstract: An oral care implement is provided comprising a head comprising a first face having a plurality of cleaning elements extending therefrom. The head has a length and a width perpendicular to the length. The head has a proximal section adjacent to the handle and a distal section remote from the handle, the proximal section having a first maximum width and the distal section having a second maximum width, wherein the second maximum width is less than the first maximum width. The distal and proximal sections are located adjacent to one another and are joined at a waist section that has a third maximum width which is less than the second maximum width. At least one bristle tuft having a distal end remote from the first face is provided that comprises bristles of varying lengths so as to form a cup-shaped recess at the distal end of the bristle tuft.

Abstract: An electric toothbrush includes a grip portion, a brush portion on which a replaceable toothbrush is mounted, and an illumination ring between the grip portion and the brush portion. The brush portion is inclined with respect to the grip portion. The illumination ring is provided around the toothbrush, so that a user can view the illumination ring no matter what angle he/she is holding the toothbrush.

Abstract: An oral care implement with a soft tissue cleanser. The oral care implement may include a handle and a head, the head having a first surface and an opposite second surface. A first cleanser may be fixed to the first surface of the head such that the first cleanser has a hole through which a portion of the first surface of the head is exposed. Furthermore, a second cleanser may be fixed to the portion of the first surface of the head that is exposed through the hole of the first cleanser.

Abstract: Described herein are fabric softening compositions comprising a quaternary ammonium compound, an edible-type tallow, isopropyl alcohol, and a plasticizer comprising an iso-methyl group. Methods of making and using the fabric softening compositions are also described herein.

Abstract: An oral care sterilization system in one embodiment includes an oral care implement and sterilization unit. The oral care implement may be a toothbrush including tooth cleaning elements on a head portion and a first coupling member. The sterilization unit includes a housing and second coupling member that mutually engages the first coupling member to secure the toothbrush to the sterilization unit. Magnetic coupling may be used in one embodiment. The toothbrush may be mounted in a suspended manner from the sterilization unit. A sterilization element such as an ultraviolet light source disposed in the housing irradiates at least the toothbrush head portion to destroy bacterial contamination. In one aspect, the toothbrush and housing each include complementary thematic features sharing a common motif. The motif is of a nature to make brushing and care of the toothbrush more interesting for younger users.
