Abstract: An aqueous liquid composition, which may be used as a light duty hand dishwashing composition, comprising (i) at least one surfactant, (ii) at least one polyethylene oxide-polypropylene oxide block copolymer which is present in an amount of at least 0.4 weight % based on the weight of the composition, (iii) ethanol which is present in an amount of from 0.5 to 5 weight % based on the weight of the composition, and (iv) water. The mixture of in the polyethylene oxide-polypropylene oxide block copolymer and ethanol can inhibit or prevent gelling of the composition at a temperature below 0 C.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are oral care compositions comprising: a) one or more pyrophosphate compounds, wherein the total concentration of pyrophosphate compounds in the composition is 0.5 wt % to 1.5 wt %, based on the weight of the oral care composition; b) one or more thickening gums, wherein the total concentration of thickening gums in the composition is 1.25 wt % to 1.6 wt %, based on the weight of the oral care composition; and c) a metal ion source.
Abstract: Provided herein is a soft solid or solid antiperspirant/deodorant composition comprising alum, a clay and talc, wherein the clay is present in an amount of 0.1 weight % to 3 weight % by total weight of the composition, and wherein the talc is present in an amount of 10 wt. % to 25 weight % by total weight of the composition. The combination of clay and talc effectively suspends alum in the composition, enabling an even distribution of the alum through the composition.
Abstract: An oral care implement may be embodied as an oral care device for placement in the oral cavity. The oral care device may include a support component, a piezoelectric component, and a therapeutic element. The support component is configured for placement between one or more maxillary teeth and one or more mandibular teeth. The piezoelectric element is configured to generate an electrical current from relative movement of the maxillary teeth and the mandibular teeth. The therapeutic element is electrically connected to the piezoelectric component and is configured to release a therapeutic composition into the oral cavity at least in part in response to receiving the electrical signal.
Abstract: Oral care compositions containing a stannous salt and sodium tripolyphosphate are provided where stannous tripolyphosphate ionic intermediates comprise less than about 1% of the compositions. Tetrasodium pyrophosphate, a methylvinyl ether-maleic anhydride copolymer and/or a silica oral polishing agent may be added for further efficacy. In a single phase blend, the oral care composition may be effectively limited to comprise less than about 10% water. In a dual-phase blend, a mixture having the stannous salt in a first phase and the sodium tripolyphosphate in a second phase may be generated from a dual chamber storage tube (with each phase provided from a separate chamber) immediately prior to dental care usage.
