  • Patent number: 11389108
Abstract: In a method and handheld device for capturing and digitally storing images of a wound, stoma, fistula or stoma wafer site, a representation of a view field of an optical lens of a camera is represented at a monitor. A marker is inserted in the representation of the view field in the monitor before an image is stored, the marker being configured to aid a user's positioning of the digital camera relative to the wound area, stoma, fistula or wafer. The patient holds the handheld wound and stoma imaging device in a position relative to his/her own body or in relation to the wafer, while the monitor is simultaneously viewable by the patient. Upon receipt of auser-input for effecting digital storage of the image in the view field, the image is stored in a memory of the handheld wound and stoma imaging device. The device may include a tablet device of smart phone suitably programmed by means of an applet, and optionally an adapter for facilitating the patient's handling of the device.

  • Patent number: 11376394
Abstract: A method of forming a urinary catheter is disclosed that includes injecting a polymer melt through a primary melt channel and into an elongated recess around an outer surface of a core; and controlling a first pressure of the polymer melt in a first secondary melt channel separately and individually from a second pressure of the polymer melt in a second secondary melt channel and reducing stress of the polymer melt along the elongated recess. Opening the mould and removing the core provides a moulded intermittent urinary catheter having an open distal end and a closed proximal tip.

  • Patent number: 11324878
Abstract: An irrigation system for anal or stomal irrigation includes a tubing system attachable between a reservoir and a catheter. The tubing system has a proximal portion attachable to the reservoir and a distal portion including a distal end that is attachable to the catheter, with the tubing system providing an irrigation flow path from the proximal portion attachable to the reservoir through the distal end attachable to the catheter. A pump is operable to move the liquid through the irrigation flow path to provide the anal or stomal irrigation out of the catheter. A pressure control device is attachable to the distal portion of the tubing system and communicates with the catheter. The pressure control device has a valve that is adapted to limit an irrigation pressure for the anal or stomal irrigation out of the catheter to a value less than a pre-determined pressure threshold.
