    Abstract: A needleless access system adapted to be mounted on a vial comprising a generally elongated tubular housing having an interior dividing wall, flexible hooks projecting upwardly from the dividing wall which are diametrically opposed, a pair of confronting splines projecting upwardly from the interior dividing wall, a hub insert having a piercing tip normally supported in an armed position by hook elements, a series of outwardly projecting teeth which engage and are guided in the splines during axial displacement of the hub insert relative to the splined housing, and said hub insert having means for mounting a syringe assembly whereby the hub insert maybe activated axially guided by the splines so that the piercing tip engages the stopper in a vial aligned therewith.

    Abstract: A child resistant pill package assembly comprising a base member and a top member spaced apart to define a hollow interior. A dial is mounted on a platform for an annular pill pack assembly having a lower portion. The dial projects through an opening in the top. A plurality of radially outwardly circumferentially spaced teeth are formed on the lower portion of the dial. A series of complementary teeth which project radially inwardly from the circular opening in the top and mesh with the teeth on the lower portion of the dial when aligned therewith. Flexible spring fingers normally bias the dial outwardly so that the dial teeth and top teeth are in meshing relationship. Application of pressure on the dial downwardly displaces the spring fingers so that the teeth are disengaged and confront the upper portion to permit rotation of the dial and pill pack.

The paper contains a colorant in the stock, preferably 5 to 10% by weight of liquid coloring agent in relation to the weight of the finished paper. The colorant is a coloring agent which fixes directly in the cellulose. The paper is suitable for printing and/or writing.

    Abstract: A drop dispenser having a sleeve carrying a closure and resilient dosage receiving fitting. The sleeve is treadably mounted on a fluid containing container having a nipple thereon. The closure on the sleeve has a configuration corresponding to the configuration of the nipple for sealing the nipple in the closed position. The fitting is filled with fluid from the container by turning the sleeve in a direction away from the closed position on the nipple to an open position to thereby establish fluid communication between the container and fitting. The fluid is dispensed from the fitting by squeezing the fitting after the closure has been returned to the closed position on the nipple, thereby preventing fluid from flowing from the resilient fitting back into the container. Cooperating stop members are provided between the sleeve and bottle neck to limit the movement of the sleeve relative to the bottle neck.

    Abstract: Apparatus for molding plastic caps having inclined tabs integral with the lower edge of the cap skirt and radially inwardly extending ribs integral with the inner surface of the cap skirt. The tabs and ribs are formed by a plurality of blades having recesses on the ends thereof corresponding to the configurations of the tabs and ribs. The blades are mounted on a core and extend into a female mold having a cup-shaped cavity. A linear drive member is mounted on a fixed plate assembly and connected to a ratchet sleeve rotatably mounted on a movable plate assembly. The end of the ratchet sleeve is provided with circumferentially spaced teeth engaging the lower peripheral edge of the cap skirt. Movement of the movable plate assembly relative to the fixed plate assembly causes the ratchet sleeve to rotate to move the molded tabs and ribs away from the recesses of the blades so that the finished cap can be stripped from the apparatus.

When the container is folded forwardly toward the handle portion and pushed downwardly toward the pedestal, the blade thereon punctures the plastic cover to allow the fluid to flow from the container into the recessed handle portion and into the bowl portion. The unit dose spoon is formed of molded plastic and is disposable.

A stop sleeve of generally tubular configuration engages internally of the barrel and has at least two key ways of different axial depth defining cam follower surfaces. A plunger engages in the barrel having a lug element and is rotatable relative to the stop sleeve between a position wherein the plunger tip is fully seated in the barrel and another position wherein the plunger may be activated axially to draw a predetermined dosage of liquid contents into the barrel.

Movement of the movable plate assembly relative to the fixed plate assembly causes the ratchet sleeve to rotate to move the molded tabs and ribs away from the recesses of the blades so that the finished cap can be stripped from the apparatus.

The overcap (1) is molded from a fracturable plastic and is provided with a pair of spaced, parallel score lines or V-grooves (5) extending across the top wall (3) of the overcap (1) and downwardly of the cap skirt (4) to the lower edge thereof on each side of the cap. Thumb and finger engaging portions (4a) are provided at the lower edge of the skirt (4) adjacent the terminal ends of the score lines (5) so that by pushing inwardly on the thumb and finger engaging portions, (4a) the overcap (1) breaks into three pieces to thereby expose the closure (6) for insertion of a syringe needle therethrough into the vial for removal of the vial contents therefrom.

An adaptor is mounted in the neck portion and is provided with a cylindrical portion extending into the bulb neck portion beyond the vent holes and spaced radially inwardly therefrom. A dispensing tube is connected to the adaptor and communicates with the interior of the bulb. The neck portion of the bulb is squeezed to draw liquid into the tube, and the cylindrical portion of the adaptor limits the squeezing of the neck portion to prevent liquid from being drawn through the tube into the body portion of the bulb.
