Abstract: Provided herein are methods and systems for improved accessibility scoring for content items. A predicted accessibility score may be based on a plurality of multimodal features present within a content item. The plurality of multimodal features may include video features (e.g., based on video/image analysis), audio features (e.g., based on audio analysis), text-based features (e.g., based on closed-captioning analysis), features indicated by metadata (e.g., duration, genre, etc.), a combination thereof, and/or the like. A predicted accessibility score for a content item may indicate how accessible the content item may be for persons who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, cognitively impaired, etc., as well as for persons who desire to view content that requires less visual attention and/or audio attention as the case may be.
Abstract: A wireless signal may supply a wireless power signal to a device to power the device for an authentication. If the device is authenticated, the wireless signal may be adjusted to provide power to the device. If the device is not authenticated, the wireless signal may be adjusted to avoid providing power to the device.
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for testing a computing device, such as a server, to minimize network impact. A computing device that is new or needs to be evaluated, such as an edge server, in a content delivery network may be determined and a sibling edge server which shares a common characteristic with the edge server may be selected. Requests received on the sibling edge server may be collected and filtered to determine a subset of the requests. The subset of the requests are transmitted to the edge server for processing and evaluation.
Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system are provided for binding application data associated with an application with content asset data associated with a content asset. In some embodiments, capacity or bandwidth for each of the application data and the content asset data may be allocated in accordance with one or more profiles. The one or more profiles may include horizontal aspects, vertical aspects, linear and non-linear aspects, and the like. In some embodiments, the binding may take place at a content provider location in accordance with early binding practices, at a central location in accordance with late binding practices, and/or at a user equipment device in accordance with user binding practices.
Abstract: Wireless communications are described. Cells may be grouped into a plurality of cell groups. A wireless device may determine that a secondary cell has an invalid scheduling request (SR) resource based on one or more conditions. The wireless device may send a preamble if the secondary cell has an invalid SR resource.
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing group encryption are described. In certain methods, a content asset may be encrypted with an asset key. An account key may be determined. Using the account key, an encrypted content asset package may be generated. The asset key may make up at least a portion of the encrypted content asset package. The encrypted content asset package is decryptable with the account key. The encrypted content asset package and an identifier associated with the account key may be transmitted, for example to a playback device.
Abstract: A content delivery network may provide content items to requesting devices using a popularity-based distribution hierarchy. A central analysis system may determine popularity data for a content item stored in a first caching device. The central analysis system may determine that a change in the popularity data is beyond a threshold value. The central analysis system may then transmit an instruction to move the content item from the first caching device to a second caching device in a different tier of caching devices than the first caching device. The central analysis system may update a content index to indicate that the content item has been moved to the second caching device. A user device may be redirected to request the content item directly from the second caching device.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. A first base station may receive, from a second base station, parameters for a selection of an uplink of the cell. A handover to the selected uplink may be performed based on the parameters and a measurement associated with a signal of the cell.

Abstract: Wireless communication techniques are described. An access node/device may transmit, to another access node/device, data corresponding to a wireless device. The access node/device may transmit the data along with downlink resource information indicating a radio resource. The other access node/device may use the radio resource to transmit the data to the wireless device. The access node/device may transmit one or more preemption indications to one or more other communication devices to preempt any other transmissions in the radio resource.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for monitoring content consumption. A method may comprise determining, by a device, content accessed by one or more user devices. The method may comprise causing a distributed ledger record to be generated. The distributed ledger record may comprise an indication of the content. The distributed ledger record may be stored on a distributed ledger. The distributed ledger may comprise other records indicating content accessed by a plurality of other devices.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses may encode a media content item based on metadata from previous encoding. The encoding may also generate encoding metadata, which may comprise a qualitative or quantitative characterization of the encoded media content item. A prediction engine may, based on this metadata, determine new encoding settings for the same or a different video resolution. The prediction engine may cause an encoded media content item to be stored and may cause encoding of the media content item using the new encoding settings.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for efficient communication of content. A user device may request content from a content device. The content device may determine a browsing context of the user device. A user model based on machine learning may be determined based on the browsing context. The user model may be used to predicted additional content that might be requested by the user device. The additional content or a portion thereof may be sent to the user device in parallel with the originally requested content. As the user device rejects, accepts, or further requests the additional content, the user model may be further refined.
