Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly comprising a rear impact beam and an impact absorber. The beam and the absorber have respective fastener means fastening them to a motor vehicle body-in-white. The absorber is shaped to absorb a corner impact and is designed to be arranged in the vicinity of a rear corner of the body-in-white in line with the longitudinal direction of the beam so as to leave a gap between a proximal end of the beam and the absorber.
Abstract: The supporting piece is intended to be mounted at the end of a motor vehicle side member, this side member including, in the continuation thereof, a plate for mounting a transverse impact beam. The supporting piece includes a bearing surface for an absorber positioned in front of this bearing surface, the bearing surface being arranged in such a way as to extend under the mounting plate and substantially parallel thereto when the supporting piece is mounted at the end of the side member. The supporting piece is shaped in such a way that it does not deform irreversibly when the vehicle suffers an insurance impact.
Abstract: The invention relates to a rear door for a motor vehicle, the door including hinges (16, 16?) embodying an axis (Y) for pivoting the door on the vehicle between a closed position and an open position. The door includes a motor (17) for generating a driving torque about the pivot axis of the door.

Abstract: The energy absorber system is adapted to a motor vehicle having side rails. The system comprises a top absorber beam positioning in front of the side rails of the motor vehicle, a bottom absorber beam for being positioned beneath the top absorber beam, and at least two uprights providing a rigid connection between the top and bottom beams. The system also includes a rigid cross-member extending between the side rails and being secured directly to the side rails, the top beam being secured to bear against the cross-member.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improvement in a battery cover having a vent opening, the improvement is a frit that has two functions; namely, it acts to allow gases to escape while preventing liquid to escape and in addition acts as a blowout disk when a pressure within the battery exceeds a predetermined pressure that blows the frit out of the cover preventing the explosion of the battery.
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for positioning a motor vehicle bodywork part, the bodywork part being intended to be juxtaposed with a door of the vehicle, it being possible for this door to adopt a open position and a closed position on the vehicle. The positioning device comprises elastic means capable of defining: a first position for the positioning device when the door is in opened position, and a second position for the positioning device when the door is in closed position, during which the elastic means are deformed.
Abstract: The rear door is for fitting to a motor vehicle having a rear chassis and a rear insurance impact absorber system suitable for absorbing insurance type impacts so as to prevent plastic deformation of the rear chassis of the vehicle. The door carries the rear impact absorber system of the vehicle.
Abstract: A motor vehicle hood lining for stiffening the hood in the vicinity of its periphery and co-operating therewith to form a hollow body over at least a fraction of its periphery, the lining being generally of channel section with a bottom and side walls. Said bottom or at least one of said side walls presents, at least locally, a zone of weakness that is dimensioned in such a manner that in the event of the hood impacting the head of a pedestrian, once the bottom of the hollow body has come to bear against a high hard point placed in the engine compartment, the zone of weakness breaks. The invention also relates to a combination of such a lining with various hard points in an engine compartment.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of fastening first and second thermoplastic parts of a motor vehicle, the first part having a protuberance projecting from a face and the second part having an engagement surface, the method consisting in bringing the second part into contact with the face of the first part, in heating the protuberance, and in plastically deforming the protuberance towards the second part so that the second part is gripped between the face of the first part and an end portion of the protuberance.
Abstract: The assembly comprises a body forming a reservoir for the liquid, the body being provided with a liquid-injection needle, a plunger mounted to be axially movable in the body between a ready position and an end-of-injection position, and a sheath in which the body is mounted to be axially movable between an active position in which the needle projects from a distal end of the sheath, and a protecting position in which the needle is retracted inside the sheath. The assembly also comprises means for axially securing the plunger and the sheath in a relative position of said plunger and said sheath serving firstly to position the body in its protecting position relative to the sheath and secondly to position the plunger in its end-of-injection position relative to the body.
