  • Patent number: 10939939
Abstract: A technique for correcting a bone deformity, such as a bunion, may be performed using a fulcrum. In some examples, the fulcrum includes multiple members that are joined together at one end and spaced apart from each other at an opposite end. The fulcrum members can be manipulated to adjust the distance separating the fulcrum members from each other and, correspondingly, an amount of force separating the multiple members from each other. The force can be controlled to press against opposed bones, such as first and second metatarsals in an intermetatarsal space.

  • Patent number: 10931040
Abstract: An assembly for connecting controlled-impedance cables to a PCB using a crescent-shaped connector that can be located much closer to the unit under test than those of the prior art. On the PCB, equal-length signal traces run from UUT contacts to signal pads that form an arc. All signal pads are surrounded by a ground land. The connector has an anchor block for permanently or removably securing the cables. The connector uses skewed coil contacts held within an electrically conductive plate. The signal contacts are captured in signal through apertures within insulating plugs in the plate. The ground contacts are captured in a ground through apertures. Each signal contact is electrically connected to a cable signal conductor and the ground contacts are electrically connected to the anchor block or ferrule. The connector is shaped so that the signal contacts trace an arc, so that they align with the signal pads.

  • Publication number: 20210021085
Abstract: A controlled-impedance cable assembly for removably attaching a controlled-impedance cable to a surface of a device. Signal contacts are attached to signal conductors of cables and ground members are coupled to shields of the cables. Ends of the signal conductors and of elongated appendages extending from the ground members are positioned to make a pressure contact to pads and ground lands on the surface. Pressure to make those contacts may come from deflection of the ends of the signal conductors and elongated ground appendages or from a spring. The signal contacts and elongated appendages may be positioned to provide an impedance matching an impedance with the cables.

  • Patent number: 10889080
Abstract: A foldable container moveable between a stowed configuration and a deployed configuration defining an interior area for holding bulk material is provided. The container includes opposed side panels and a bottom flap extending from a bottom edge of each side panel. A tab member extends from a distal end of each bottom flap and a tab finger extends from each tab member so as to define a hook at a distal end of each bottom flap. The hooks are interconnected so as to hingedly connect the distal ends of the bottom flaps together, thereby causing the bottom flaps to rotate between their respective stowed and deployed configuration positions as the end panels are translated between their respective stowed and deployed configuration positions. Locking tabs extending from distal ends of end flaps extend into the interior area of the container to secure the container in the deployed configuration.

  • Patent number: 10888335
Abstract: A method of correcting an alignment between bones of a foot may involve positioning a first cutting slot of a bone cutting guide over a first metatarsal and inserting a first fixation pin through a first fixation aperture of the bone cutting guide and into the first metatarsal. The method may also involve inserting a cutting member through the first cutting slot to remove a portion of the first metatarsal and adjusting an alignment of the first metatarsal relative to a first cuneiform. In some examples, the method further includes positioning a second cutting slot of the bone cutting guide over the first cuneiform and inserting a second fixation pin through a second fixation aperture of bone cutting guide into the first cuneiform. The method can involve inserting a cutting member through the second cutting slot to remove a portion of the first cuneiform and causing the first metatarsal to fuse to the first cuneiform in the moved position.

  • Patent number: 10874446
Abstract: A bone positioning guide may include a main body member, a shaft, and a bone engagement member. The shaft can be movably connected to the main body member and have the bone engagement member rotatably coupled to its distal end. The bone engagement member can have a surface configured to engage a bone. The main body member can also include a tip opposite the bone engagement member for engaging a second bone. In use, the bone engagement member may be positioned in contact with a medial side of a first metatarsal while the tip is positioned in contact with a lateral side of a different metatarsal, such as a second metatarsal. • Patent number: 10849631
Abstract: Instruments and surgical techniques may be used to correct a bone deformity, such as a bunion in which a metatarsal is misaligned with respect to a medial cuneiform. In some examples, a bone cutting guide is utilized to cut an end of the metatarsal and/or an end of the medial cuneiform to facilitate realignment of the bones. The cutting guide can have a pivotable cut guide surface along which a cutting instrument is translated to provide a precise bone cut. In some applications, after suitably preparing and aligning the bones, the bones are compressed together using a fixation pin. The fixation pin can be driven through one of the bones, into the second bone, and then further driven to compress the bones together.

  • Patent number: 10853985
Abstract: Methods and systems for generating an interactive rotatable 360-degree presentation of an object are disclosed. The methods and systems obtain data describing the object, where the data includes information about a number of images of the object, as well as additional information about the object. The images are automatically obtained and rearranged into at least one sequence of images substantially evenly distributed around 360 degrees. It is determined whether to add hotspot(s) to image(s), and if hotspot(s) are to be added, the hotspot(s) are automatically added to the image(s). The ordered images of the sequence(s) are then merged into an interactive rotatable 360-degree presentation of the object.
