  • Patent number: 8255391
Abstract: A system and method for determining a ranking function for a search engine. A training data processor receives training data, the training data including at least a first page, a first label, a second page and a second label. A feature extraction processor receives the first page, identifies first features in the first page and calculates first values relating to the first features. The feature extraction processor receives the second page and identifies second features and calculates second values relating to the second features. A machine learning processor receives the first features, the first values, the first label, the second features, the second values, and the second label. The machine learning processor generates a ranking function based on first features, the first values, the first label, the second features, the second values, and the second label.

  • Patent number: 8239405
Abstract: A system and method for filtering keywords. The method may include receiving a first set of keywords. The method may include determining a first set of numbers associated with a first metric relating to the first set of keywords and a second set of numbers associated with a second metric relating to the first set of keywords. The method may include receiving at least one metric rule relating to the first and the second metric. The method may include determining a respective combination number for each keyword in the first set of keywords based on the first set of numbers, the second set of numbers, and the metric rule. The method may include filtering the first set of keywords based on the respective combination numbers to produce a second set of keywords.

  • Publication number: 20110208595
Abstract: A method and system for managing electronic advertising, indexable link templates are provided that are purchased by advertisers. The indexable link templates allow electronic advertising information to be input along with description information used for indexing by electronic search engines. The indexable link templates are filled with information by the advertiser and sent to one or more publisher's web-sites for display as static mark-up language text-link advertisements. The information allows search engine indexing, search engine placement and a higher search engine ranking that can potentially bring tens of thousands of users to an advertiser's web-site without having to spend additional money on click or impression advertising.

  • Patent number: 6274445
Abstract: An ion implanting process allows for shallow source and drain junctions of the transistor. According to one example embodiment, a BARC layer is formed over a gate, and a poly-crystalline or amorphous silicon shield is deposited over the source and drain regions, then the BARC and silicon are chemically mechanically polished. The poly-crystalline or amorphous silicon shield absorbs the initial impact the dopant species of ion implantation and reduces the incidence of irreversible source/drain crystal damage caused by the process. After the ion implantation, the species implanted in the poly or amorphous silicon is diffused into the source/drain regions by annealing. An additional siliciding of the poly or amorphous silicon covering the source and drain minimizes the need for deeper source/drain junctions and hence improves short-channel properties.

  • Patent number: 4050786
Abstract: A display device wherein a liquid crystal is contained between accurately spaced transparent electrical contacts to allow control over the transparency or transmissive properties of the display by application of a voltage to the contacts. In one version the spacing is provided by an inorganic frit of particles which occupy the space between the electrical contacts and impart a ground glass optical property. The particles provide accurate separation that prevents the contacts from short circuiting and when immersed in a liquid crystal give the display an overall transparent or other characteristic as desired. Preferably, the contacts are applied to glass substrates which are hermetically sealed by fusion of a denser glass frit applied between peripheral edges of the substrates. In a further version, spacing is provided by a set of legs perpendicularly emanating from one of the electrical contacts and supporting it from the other electrical contact.

  • Patent number: 4031312
Abstract: This invention relates to a new and useful apparatus for protecting electrical wiring devices from rain, snow and other exterior elements. The apparatus consists of a molded top cover and bottom housing coupled together by a spring-type hinge. The molded cover and housing has a slot or channel therein for receipt of a polyurethane gasket. The housing has provisions for receiving a wire channel with circuit breakers or a plurality of molded receptacles coupled to a cable. The spring hinge snaps the cover and housing together so that the polyurethane gaskets mattingly abut each other and simultaneously surround any cables passing therebetween in such a manner as to inhibit moisture or other outside elements from entering the enclosure.
