Abstract: A device for the variable driving of a hollow shaft and an inner shaft or spindle that is supported on the latter and lies inside it, is particularly suited for moving component parts of a tire building machine, using driving devices. The hollow shaft is coupled to the inner shaft or spindle by way of a planetary gear mechanism or a harmonic-drive gear mechanism, which is respectively constructed as a differential-speed gear mechanism. The hollow shaft and the shaft or spindle are made to run synchronously by way of a single driving device.
Abstract: A compressor unit is particularly suitable for compressing air in portable and/or transportable devices. The compressor unit includes a motor, a compressor, and a pressure gauge (manometer). The pressure gauge is connected to the compressor unit through a threaded connection and the supply of the pressure medium to the pressure gauge travels through the threads.
Abstract: A run-flat pneumatic vehicle tire has at least one cross-sectionally crescent-shaped reinforcing profile incorporated in the region of each sidewall and respectively extending at least over a large part of the length of the sidewall. Bead regions with bead cores and bead profiles have at least one bead strip, arranged at least under the bead cores and forming the bead heel. The at least one bead strip, acting together with a rim seat, ensures the seating of the tire on the rim. In order to increase the static friction between the bead heel and the rim, the bead heel is formed of a soft rubber compound with a Shore A hardness of less than 70, at least radially underneath the core, on its outer surface that is facing the rim seat and rests on the rim seat.
Abstract: Profile segments of a vulcanizing mold each contain a basic body which has a profiled forming area on an inner side. A multiplicity of bimaterial rods that are aligned parallel to one another are arranged in each profile segment pressing die such that the longitudinal axes of the bimaterial rods are aligned approximately perpendicular to the forming area surface. The bimaterial rods each contain a core of a filling material disposed parallel to a longitudinal axis. A layer surrounding the core is parallel to the longitudinal axis and is formed of loosely bound—together metal powder, and that, to obtain a green profile segment part, the bimaterial rods are pressed in the pressing die and that the green part is subsequently subjected to a sintering process, by which the filling material can be removed, so that micro channels, that are arranged approximately perpendicular to the forming area remain.
Abstract: A vehicle pneumatic tire with run-flat characteristics is formed of a profiled tread, multilayered belting, an air-tight inner layer, a carcass wound around high-tensile strength cores and core profiles on cores in the bead area, axially from inside to outside as a carcass riser, side walls within which there is at least one reinforcing profile with a crescent-shaped cross section closed annularly over the circumference of the side wall, and a bead reinforcing element with a reinforcement. The bead reinforcing element that is axially inside of the core profile has reinforcements oriented at a 90 degree angle to the tread periphery, and the carcass is configured as a single layer.
Abstract: A supply device for a tire-building drum, in particular for a tire-belt drum for building a multilayer tire-belt package for a pneumatic tire, where a plurality of layers of different or differently treated, substantially strip-like pieces of material web are, in succession, placed on, rolled onto, and bonded to one another on the tire-building drum. The supply device has cutting devices in which cut-to-length pieces of material web are formed and then transported to the tire-building drum by a drum supply device, which has two drum feed belts. Two pairs of cutting devices are disposed mutually above one another and assigned to the drum feed belts. The cutting devices are displaceable relative to the drum feed belts such that, in the backward receptive position, the drum feed belts can be brought into active contact in alternation with one of the pairs of cutting devices.
Abstract: A process for producing a tread for a tire with a radially inner layer composed of a first rubber material and with a radially outer second layer composed of a second rubber material and forming the ground-contact surface of the pneumatic tire. The first rubber material has higher electrical conductivity than the second rubber material, and where, in a form of a web axially dividing the second layer around the periphery of the tire, the first rubber material extends radially outwards through the second layer as far as the ground-contact surface. A ply of the first and second layers are constructed radially one on the other, on a rotationally symmetric construction surface, on one of the two axial sides of the web to be produced.
Abstract: An apparatus for upturning a tire-building component on a tire-building drum has a roller lever. To provide an apparatus which is capable of upturning a tire-building component on a tire-building drum, and which achieves the upturn of the tire-building component without defects, in particular unintended creasing in the side wall, it is proposed that, during the procedure of preparation for upturning, a spacer provides separation between the roller and the segment in such a way that the roller is in essence in contact exclusively with the tire-building component. The roller therefore rolls along the tire-building component.
Abstract: A tire includes a tread rubber having a positive profile formed by at least one circumferential groove. Wherein the transverse grooves extends into the positive profile from the circumferential groove to form block flank surfaces. Further, the transverse grooves have bending points at which a change of direction takes place at an obtuse angle. Further still, at least one block flank has at least three flank surfaces, wherein at least one of the flank surfaces is inclined and connected to an upper surface of the positive profile. The tire is a vehicle pneumatic tire. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.
Abstract: A tread for a vehicle tire, such as a pneumatic vehicle tire, is provided with an electrically conducting layer axially inside a portion of a first, radially outer rubber layer of the tread. The electrically conductive layer extends from a second, radially inner rubber layer of the tread on the radially inner side of the tread rubber material up to a ground contact surface of the tread. The rubber material of the electrically conducting layer and the rubber material of the radially inner rubber layer of the tread have a higher electrical conductivity than the rubber material of the radially outer rubber layer.
Abstract: Vehicle pneumatic tire with a rubber tread profile having blocks formed by circumferential grooves and transverse grooves. At least some of the transverse grooves are defined by first and second flank segments. The first and second flank segments have different angles with respect to a radial direction. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.
