Abstract: An access arrangement for a vehicle comprises a vehicle transmission/reception device configured to transmit multiple interrogation signals to a mobile identification transmitter, receive corresponding response signals from the mobile identification transmitter in response to the transmitted interrogation signals, and determine a respective time interval that elapsed between the transmission of an interrogation signal and the reception of a corresponding response signal. Furthermore, the access arrangement comprises a vehicle control device configured to output a different control command based on a change in the specific time intervals for two transmitted interrogation signals. The interrogation signals and response signals are in accordance with the UWB standard.

  • Publication number: 20230206751
Abstract: The correctness of information transmitted by a vehicle is assessed. Vehicle information about vehicle characteristics of a vehicle is received, wherein a vehicle trust value is assigned to the vehicle. Detector information about the vehicle characteristics is received, which is based on a detection of the vehicle characteristics by at least one detector outside the vehicle, wherein a detector trust value is assigned to the detector. Then, the correctness of the vehicle information is assessed. A correctness value is assigned to the vehicle information, and the vehicle trust value is updated. The vehicle information may be discarded when the correctness value is too low. Vehicles with a high trust value may validate other vehicles, which may in turn validate even more vehicles. In this way, a chain of vehicles with a high trust value (or trusted vehicles) may be established.

Abstract: An Electronic Control Unit (ECU) provides security for an automotive system. The ECU is classified according to a Cybersecurity Assurance Level (CAL) and calculates a cryptographic value for one or more or all modules of the ECU. The calculated cryptographic value is compared with a stored cryptographic value. Based on the CAL classification of the ECU, either control to one or more modules of the ECU is provided or the ECU is shut down as follows: when the calculated cryptographic value matches the stored cryptographic value, control to the one or more or all modules of the ECU is provided; and, when the calculated cryptographic value does not match the stored cryptographic value, the ECU is shut down in one of a current boot cycle or a subsequent boot cycle.

Abstract: A head-up display for a transport comprising an image generating unit for generating an image, and an optical unit for projecting the image through a mirror unit is disclosed. The imaging unit comprises a folding mirror arranged between a light source and a display element. The light source radiates light, at a work angle to the propagation direction of the light incident on the folding mirror. The folding mirror has microstructures that have first mirror surfaces arranged at a first angle that deviates from the work angle of the folding mirror, and are spaced apart from one another to form gaps, wherein second surfaces are arranged in the gaps at a second angle. A polarizer guides light having a first polarization to the display element and light having a second polarization into the gaps. A retarder converts the polarization of the light guided into the gaps to the first polarization.
