Patent number: 8067850Abstract: This invention involves a method of creating a hydroelectric turbine system that is capable of producing electricity while sustaining a majority of the fluid flow or hydraulic pressure within the pipe line or pipe network driving the system. The system's objective is to shave as little pressure as possible from an enclosed pipe system that requires pressure to operate and function properly. More particularly, this invention relates to a hydroelectric turbine generator system wherein the system is specially designed and configured with an unique impeller and fluted turbine housing that enable a generator device to produce a particular amount of electric current and voltage, while yet minimizing flow restriction and pressure loss to the fluid pressure driving the system.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2008Date of Patent: November 29, 2011Assignee: Techstream Control Systems IncInventors: Raymond Alvarez, Daniel Dale Gilson

Publication number: 20110068195Abstract: A sprinkler for producing a fixed spray pattern includes an inner flow conduit having a nozzle at an outlet. A filter screen is held in place beneath the nozzle. The filter screen engages a push rod of a valve of a flow stop mechanism. The push rod spaces a valve member away from a valve seat to permit water flow through the inner flow conduit when the filter screen and nozzle are in place. If the nozzle is removed or if the inner conduit is severed, the filter screen can be removed, which causes the valve member to close under the force of water pressure and to shut off flow through the inner flow conduit. The valve is located upstream of parts that are vulnerable to damage.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2010Publication date: March 24, 2011Applicant: Signature Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Kevin Michael Franks, Donnie Russell Fisher, Brian John Smith

Patent number: 7888813Abstract: These teachings present triple data transport redundancy in the form of three data bus interfaces that are each designed and manufactured independently from one another and compatible with a common data handling protocol. This protocol can be one that includes no error correction. These interfaces can each couple to a corresponding first, second, and third data bus that may comprise optical data busses. Information gauges can be realized through use a memory that stores a plurality of images comprising views of an information gauge (or gauges) of interest showing a variety of different readings. Upon receiving information regarding a monitored parameter of interest (via, for example, the aforementioned data busses and data bus interfaces), this information can be used to address the stored information gauge view that corresponds to the present parameter value. That particular view can be recalled and displayed to thereby provide the corresponding information to a viewer.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2010Date of Patent: February 15, 2011Assignee: Embedded Control Systems, Inc.Inventor: Paul Douglas Stoner

Patent number: 7814223Abstract: A transmit packet generated by a CPU 1 is held in a buffer 100a (100b). From among packets received from Ethernet 820a (820b), a packet, a destination of which is a communication device 800, is held in the buffer 100a (100b). A packet which should be transmitted is transmitted from a transfer judging circuit 200 to Ethernet 820a or 820b through a MAC unit 300a or 300b. If a transfer judging circuit 200 judges a packet from the Ethernet 820a to be a packet, a destination of which is another communication device, with reference to a destination MAC address, this packet is transferred to the Ethernet 820b through MAC 300b. If a usage rate of a transferring FIFO buffer 130a (130b) exceeds a threshold value in the process of transmitting a packet held in a transmitting FIFO buffer 120a (130b) on a priority basis, the priority order of a transfer packet is made higher than that of a transmit packet so that the transfer packet is transferred to the Ethernet 820a or 820b in preference to the transmit packet.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2008Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignees: Renesas Technology Corporation, Hitachi Engineering Co., Ltd., Hitachi Information & Control Systems, Inc.Inventors: Hiroshi Arita, Yasuhiro Nakatsuka, Yasuwo Watanabe, Kei Ouchi, Yoshihiro Tanaka, Toshinobu Kanai, Masanobu Tanaka, Kenji Furuhashi, Tomoaki Aoki

Patent number: RE41739Abstract: A transmitting controller is connected to a powerline and on command places a reference signal and a series of signal pulses in the powerline at a series of signal timing positions related to zero voltage crossing points so that the signals pulses are substantially in the powerline temporal quiet zone. The receiving controller is connected to the powerline and has a filter circuit therein which filters away the powerline AC signal and noise to leave the reference and signal pulses. The signal pulses are compared to the position of starting reference pulses to determine in which signal timing position the pulses have occurred. Digital data is communicated over the powerline in accordance with the nature placement of the data pulses related to the reference pulse positions. The timing zone for transmission and signals is preferably about 500 to about 1000 microseconds away from zero voltage crossing.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2006Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: Powerline Control Systems, Inc.Inventor: Marshall E.
