  • Publication number: 20180219798
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for facilitating communications using a parallel redundancy protocol (“PRP”) bridge device are described herein. A PRP bridge device, in one embodiment, includes a first data port in communication with a first network, and a second data port in communication with a second network. Upon receiving a data packet at the first data port, the PRP bridge device is structured to determine whether or not the data packet includes a PRP data tag. If so, then the data packet is discarded. If no PRP data tag is present within the data packet, and a value of an EtherType header of the data packet is one of the values that the PRP bridge is structured to accept, then the PRP bridge device is capable of sending, using the second data port, the data packet to the second network.

  • Patent number: 10004329
Abstract: A work station includes a cable raceway. The cable raceway includes a basket in an interior of a base assembly, having an open upper end adjacent an access opening, and a bottom end defining openings, the basket configured to receive cables therein. A cover of the cable raceway is movable between a closed position, in which the cover is received in the access opening and covers the open upper end of the basket to inhibit access to the basket through the access opening, and an open position, in which the cover is at least partially outside the access opening to allow access to the basket through the access opening. The work station may have a work platform that is selectively adjustable in height. A portion of a footprint of the work platform may be commensurate with a corresponding portion of a footprint of the base assembly.

  • Patent number: 10006606
Abstract: A light source, for example a light emitting diode, can emit light and have an associated optical axis. The source can be deployed in applications where it is desirable to have illumination biased laterally relative to the optical axis, such as in a street luminaire where directing light towards a street is beneficial. The source can be coupled to an optic that comprises a cavity. At least a portion of the cavity can have an outline that is egg-shaped in cross section. A backside of the cavity (or a backside portion of the optic) can have an irregular shape for receiving the light emitting diode, for example to form a receptacle shaped to fit a circuit.

  • Patent number: 10006592
Abstract: A linkable linear light emitting diode (LED) system provides apparatus and method for mechanically, optically, and electrically linking multiple LED modules disposed over a wide and separated area of a ceiling system. Openings can be cut in ceiling tiles of a drop ceiling system and the LED lighting modules are coupled to the tile through the opening, with the tile being sandwiched between different portions of the module. A remote driver system is placed within the drop ceiling above the tiles and provide multiple connectors for powering a multitude of lighting modules. Certain of the LED lighting modules include both input and output connectors for both receiving power or data and providing power or data to other modules. • Publication number: 20180159365
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing network reconfigurations for networks including one or more renewable energy devices are described herein. In one exemplary embodiment, a network reconfiguration engine is used to determine an energy level of one or more renewable energy devices within the network. The reconfiguration engine is then capable of determining an optimal path for the network reconfiguration such that a least portion of the network's load is impacted, as well as a minimal number of switching operations are needed. The optimal path also, in one embodiment, includes performing a resiliency estimation for the post-network reconfiguration topology. An updated relay setting for the post-network reconfiguration topology is determined, and a status of any other engines associated with the reconfiguration is determined, after which the network reconfiguration is performed.
