Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for compiling code for a multi-core processor, comprising: detecting and optimizing a loop, partitioning the loop into partitions executable and mappable on physical hardware with optimal instruction level parallelism, optimizing the loop iterations and/or loop counter for ideal mapping on hardware, chaining the loop partitions generating a list representing the execution sequence of the partitions.

Abstract: A system is provided for pushing content to a terminal located within a mobile network or a private network. The system includes a network node, such as a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy, located across a public network from the network including the terminal. The network node is capable of subscribing to a push service on behalf of the terminal such that the network node is also capable of receiving push content in accordance with the push service. Thereafter, the network node is capable of establishing a network-initiated data session with the terminal. In response to the network-initiated data session, the network node is further capable of registering the terminal such that the terminal is capable of receiving the push content based upon the registration.

Abstract: A method comprises receiving a signal containing an environmental cue; correlating the environmental cue to a user interface control element; and generating a user interface control command based on the environmental cue. A device may be controlled by receiving a visual image, processing the image to identify a visual cue, correlating the visual cue with a user interface control, and controlling the device using the user interface control. The visual image may be received from a camera that is part of an automobile, and the user interface control may include a control for a radio to tune to a radio station; a speed control for controlling a speed of the automobile corresponding to a speed sign visual cue; or a navigation system control for controlling a navigation system based on traffic signs. Other variations include an apparatus and computer-readable media including instructions for performing the methods.

Abstract: An approach includes detecting failure of an error detection scheme relating to transmission of data units of a transport block. A negative acknowledgement message is generated in response to the detection of the failure. The negative acknowledgement message is forwarded to a radio link controller for discarding one or more of the data units.

Abstract: A system for providing various overlay information one UPnP AV media renderers. According to the present invention, indications of messages and/or other information received by a UPnP mobile telephone or other UPnP control point can be directly transmitted to a renderer and exhibited in different manners. The present invention also permits the UPnP control point to transmit an event subscription to the renderer for subsequent use. The renderer permits accept or reject the receipt of various information at the particular time.

Abstract: A system and method for automated probabilistic planning of network attacks against infrastructures of computer networks and applications is provided. The embodiments automate the analysis and probabilistic planning of multi-step attacks to computer and application networks (in particular in the context of automating penetration tests), optimizing with respect to one of the following metrics: the probability of success of the actions, a numerical parameter that must be minimized (e.g., running time), or the number of logs generated by the control devices in the target network.

Abstract: A system and method for extending automated penetration testing of a target network is provided. The method comprises: computing a scenario, comprises the steps of: translating a workspace having at least one target computer in the target network, to a planning definition language, translating penetration modules available in a penetration testing framework to a planning definition language, and defining a goal in the target network and translating the goal into a planning definition language; building a knowledge database with information regarding the target network, properties of hosts in the network, parameters and running history of modules in the penetration testing framework; and running an attack plan solver module, comprising: running an attack planner using the scenario as input, to produce at least one attack plan that achieves the goal, and executing actions defined in the at least one attack plan against the target network from the penetration testing framework.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using barcodes to provide product information to users with computing devices capable of scanning the barcodes. The product information may include one or more videos including instructional information, safety information, product features information, or other product information. In some embodiments, the barcodes are configured to provide links to entertainment videos, promotional videos, or advertising videos that may or may not be directly related to the products to which the barcodes are affixed.

Abstract: A system and method provide application penetration testing. The system contains logic configured to find at least one vulnerability in the application so as to gain access to data associated with the application, logic configured to confirm the vulnerability and determine if the application can be compromised, and logic configured to compromise and analyze the application by extracting or manipulating data from a database associated with the application. In addition, the method provides for penetration testing of a target by: receiving at least one confirmed vulnerability of the target; receiving a method for compromising the confirmed vulnerability of the target; installing a network agent on the target in accordance with the method, wherein the network agent allows a penetration tester to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the target; and executing the arbitrary operating system commands on the target to analyze risk to which the target may be exposed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of authenticating a user equipment in a communications network. The method involves sending a message from a network entity to the user equipment. This message includes a set of options for an authentication procedure for authenticating an internet protocol communication over a first interface between the user equipment and the network entity; said options including a “shared key”-based authentication procedure. The method also involves selecting an option from the set. In the event that the “shared-key”-based authentication procedure is selected, a shared secret from a security key established in a generic bootstrapping architecture (GBA) is generated over a second interface between the user equipment and a bootstrapping service function. The shared secret is then used to compute and verify authentication payloads in the key-based authentication procedure for the communication over the first interface.

Abstract: A post medical procedure garment includes front and rear panels with height adjusting straps that extend over the wearer's shoulders. The front panel includes an outer compression fabric and an inner cup assembly, which is essentially non-compressive. The cup assembly includes individual cups for each breast. An elastic band extends around the bottom portion of the garment. Tensioning structures, such as side flaps extending from the back to the front, can be provided to adjust the circumferential size of the garment. The garment can include releasable closures on the side of the garment to aid in putting on and taking off the garment. A connector can removably attach a fluid storage device to the side flaps or the elastic band. The fluid storage device can hold post-medical procedure drainage fluid.

Abstract: An approach is provided for determining device compatibility using alerts and information spaces. A link redirector receives a request from a device for a required type of service. The link redirector alerts the device compatibility service and the export control interface about the potential request or stores the request information in an information space while searching for a suitable service for the device. Therefore, the device compatibility service and the export control interface can start preparing information about device compatibility and export control before the information is requested by the service determined.

Abstract: An environment variable for use cases such as UPnP AV use cases. The environment variable of the present invention is used to store the physical location of the user. For example, the environment variable can be used to identify a particular location as being a user's living room, kitchen, etc. The information stored in the environment variable can be used to enhance the user experience of the digital home or other environment by minimizing the number of manual selections that the user has to make in order to initiate a use case such as playing music in a bedroom or watching movies in a living room. The environment variable is used to trigger a change of a profile and select the devices needed to implement different use scenarios.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for enhancing memory erase functionality. An apparatus may include a block-based mass memory and a controller configured to receive an erase command from a host device comprising an indication of a location of a block in the mass memory storing memory allocation data. The controller may be further configured to access the memory allocation data based at least in part upon the indicated location. The controller may additionally be configured to determine, based at least in part upon the memory allocation data, blocks within the mass memory that have been freed by the host device. The controller may also be configured to erase the freed blocks. Corresponding methods and computer program products are also provided.

A second method comprises forming the information relating to a quality of service inside at least one of a header field and an attribute of a protocol message.
