Abstract: A method of treating the surface of a semiconductor wafer through the formation of a bonding system is provided in order to enhance the handling of the wafer during subsequent processing operations. The method generally comprises the steps of applying a release layer and an adhesive to different wafers; bonding the wafers together to form a bonded wafer system; performing at least one wafer processing operation (e.g., wafer grinding, etc.) to form a thin processed wafer; debonding the wafers; and then cleaning the surface of the processed wafer with an organic solvent that is capable of dissolving the release layer or any residue thereof. The adhesive includes a vinyl-functionalized polysiloxane oligomeric resin, a Si—H functional polysiloxane oligomeric resin, a catalyst, and optionally an inhibitor, while the release layer is comprised of either a silsesquioxane-based resin or a thermoplastic resin.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and system for supporting wireless RF services over a wired digital data network infrastructure, such as an Ethernet network. The system includes a control unit that can be connected to a base station that supports one or more wireless RF services. The control unit converts the wireless RF signals to an intermediate frequency (IF) that does not interfere with the data network signals and combines the IF signals onto the cable run to a remote network device on the digital data network. The remote network device includes a multiplexer or a low pass filter and a high pass filter that separates the IF signals from the digital data signals on the downlink and combines the IF signals with digital data signals on the uplink over the cable run. The IF signals can be input to an RF module connected to the remote network device which converts the IF signals back to the original RF signals for transmission by a transceiver to wireless devices.

Abstract: Described herein are various methods for making textured articles, textured articles that have improved fingerprint resistance, and methods of using the textured articles. The methods generally make use of masks comprising nanostructured metal-containing features to produce textured surfaces that also comprise nanostructured features. These nanostructured features in the textured surfaces can render the surfaces hydrophobic and oleophobic, thereby beneficially providing the articles with improved fingerprint resistance relative to similar or identical articles that lack the texturing.

Abstract: A method of making a strengthened glass article includes providing a flat glass article having a select contour and a glass surface covered by a protective coating layer. The protective coating layer is removed from the glass surface without touching the glass surface with any solid object. Immediately after the protective coating layer is removed from the glass surface, the flat glass article is subjected to an ion-exchange process to strengthen the flat glass article and improve the resistance of the flat glass article to subsequent damage.

The blend (mixture) of first and second activated carbon materials may be equal in each electrode.
Abstract: A fiber inspection device is configured to be removably attached to a portable camera, such as a smartphone or other mobile computing device. The device may be arranged to have a slim form factor that complements the form factor of the smartphone or other device. The device may be configured to inspect a polish and/or cleave of the optical fiber. By leveraging the built in camera, computing power and user interface of a smartphone or other mobile computing device, a fiber inspection device can be inexpensively produced for inspecting a polish of an optical fiber endface using mass market camera hardware and software, without the need to develop dedicated electronics hardware or embedded software.
Abstract: A fiber inspection device is configured to inspect a cleave of an optical fiber endface. The device may also be configured to inspect a polish of the optical fiber using the same imaging hardware and/or software. Just as it is important to attain a smooth uniform polish of the optical fiber endface, it is equally important that the initial cleave generate a flat and uniform surface. If an adequate cleave is not attained, signal attenuation may occur, even if the polish of the endface is of otherwise high quality. Thus, by enabling cleave inspection both in the field and lab settings, overall quality control can be increased.
Abstract: A gripping member for a coaxial cable connector is disclosed. The gripping member has a front end and a rear end opposite the front end, and an outer surface and an inner surface defining a longitudinal hole extending between the front end and the rear end. A first portion of the gripping member terminates at the front end. A second portion of the gripping member terminates at the rear end and includes at least one notch which extends from the inner surface of second portion to a certain depth from inner surface. The gripping member is configured to be forced under a body of a coaxial cable connector when driven axially forward by a shell of a coaxial cable connector to secure a coaxial cable to the connector.

The resulting SiC wafer has a mirror-like surface that is fit for epitaxial deposition of SiC. The specifications for bow, warp, total thickness variation (TTV), local thickness variation (LTV), and site front side least squares focal plane range (SFQR) of the wafer are preserved following the addition of the epitaxy layer.

Abstract: There is provided a curable fluorine-containing polymer composition which is rapidly cured at relatively low temperature by hydrosilylation reaction to form a coating film having not only high hardness and flexibility but also water- and oil-repellency, thereby giving stain-proofing effect for a long period of time, especially maintaining property of removing and wiping-off stain.
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and system for supporting MIMO technologies which can require the transport of multiple spatial streams on a traditional Distributed Antenna System (DAS). According to the invention, at one end of the DAS, each spatial stream is shifted in frequency to a pre-assigned band (such as a band at a frequency lower than the native frequency) that does not overlap the band assigned to other spatial streams (or the band of any other services being carried by the DAS). Each of the spatial streams can be combined and transmitted as a combined signal over a common coaxial cable. At the other “end” of the DAS, the different streams are shifted back to their original (overlapping) frequencies but retain their individual “identities” by being radiated through physically separate antenna elements.
