Abstract: The invention relates to compounds and methods for restoring or preserving cholesterol efflux in a cell infected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) by preventing or decreasing an interaction between Negative Regulatory Factor (Nef) protein and Calnexin protein, and methods for screening for such compounds.

Abstract: An email message is filtered to determine whether or not it is an undesired email message (e.g., “spam,” “junk mail,” etc.) that originates from an undesirable domain, such as, for example, a domain designated as originating from an undesirable geographic location. In some embodiments, upon determining that the email message originates from an undesirable domain, the email message is deleted (e.g., permanently removed, moved to a designated folder, marked for followup, etc.). In other embodiments, upon determining that the email message originates from an undesirable domain, the email message is further filtered to determine whether or not the email message includes attributes that indicate that the email message should not be discarded.

Abstract: Multiple access internet portals are provided. A representative system, among others, includes a communication facility and a wireless internet server. The communication facility is operable to connect to a plurality of wireless devices through a mobile network. The wireless internet server is coupled to the communication facility and retrieves a personalized profile associated with a registered user an one of the plurality of wireless devices, and provides substantially similar personalized content to said at least one registered user on a variety of platforms associated with the wireless devices. Methods and other systems for multiple access portals are also provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for handling email messages are described. Some embodiments are directed to determining whether an email message meets a predefined condition, and executing an action in an instant messaging (IM) system in response to determining that the email message meets the predefined condition. Other embodiments are directed to providing a programming interface, and storing inputs provided by a user at the programming interface. For those embodiments, the programming interface is adapted to receive user input in the form of a markup language. The inputs comprise a condition and an action. Yet other embodiments are directed to determining whether a digital message meets a predefined condition, and executing a filtering algorithm on the digital message in response to determining that the digital message does not meet the predefined condition. The digital message may be, for example, an email message or an IM message.
