Publication number: 20170220897Abstract: A machine learning method operates on training instances from a plurality of domains including one or more source domains and a target domain. Each training instance is represented by values for a set of features. Domain adaptation is performed using stacked marginalized denoising autoencoding (mSDA) operating on the training instances to generate a stack of domain adaptation transform layers. Each iteration of the domain adaptation includes corrupting the training instances in accord with feature corruption probabilities that are non-uniform over at least one of the set of features and the domains. A classifier is learned on the training instances transformed using the stack of domain adaptation transform layers. Thereafter, a label prediction is generated for an input instance from the target domain represented by values for the set of features by applying the classifier to the input instance transformed using the stack of domain adaptation transform domains.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2016Publication date: August 3, 2017Applicant: Xerox CorporationInventors: Boris Chidlovskii, Gabriela Csurka, Stéphane Clinchant

Publication number: 20170223040Abstract: An identifying device monitors malware to be analyzed and acquires, as log data, the malware, download data downloaded from a communication destination, and a relation of data transfer performed with the malware or the communication destination of the download data. Then, the identifying device creates, by using the acquired log data, a dependency relation graph that is a digraph in which the malware, download data, and communication destination are set as nodes and a dependency relation of each node is set as an edge. Then, the identifying device detects a malicious node by collating the respective nodes of the created dependency relation graph with the known maliciousness information, and traces an edge in a direction from a terminal point to a start point while setting the malicious node as a base point, and then identifies the traced node as a new malicious node.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 8, 2015Publication date: August 3, 2017Applicant: NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE CORPORATIONInventors: Tomonori IKUSE, Kazufumi AOKI, Takeo HARIU

Publication number: 20170221724Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for forming transistor devices having source and drain regions with high concentrations of boron doped germanium. In some embodiments, an in situ boron doped germanium, or alternatively, boron doped silicon germanium capped with a heavily boron doped germanium layer, are provided using selective epitaxial deposition in the source and drain regions and their corresponding tip regions. In some such cases, germanium concentration can be, for example, in excess of 50 atomic % and up to 100 atomic %, and the boron concentration can be, for instance, in excess of 1E20 cm?3. A buffer providing graded germanium and/or boron concentrations can be used to better interface disparate layers. The concentration of boron doped in the germanium at the epi-metal interface effectively lowers parasitic resistance without degrading tip abruptness. The techniques can be embodied, for instance, in planar or non-planar transistor devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 17, 2017Publication date: August 3, 2017Applicant: INTEL CORPORATIONInventors: ANAND S.
