  • Patent number: 7779237
Abstract: A method, system and processor for adaptively and selectively controlling the instruction execution frequency of a data processor. Processing logic or a software compiler determines when a number of first-type instructions, requiring longer execution latency, are scheduled to be executed. The logic/compiler then triggers the CPM unit to automatically switch the execution frequency of the instruction processor from a first frequency that is optimal for processing regular-type instructions to a second, pre-established lower frequency that is optimal for processing the first-type instructions, to enable more efficient execution and higher execution throughput of the number of first-type operations within the processor. When the first-type instructions have completed execution, the processor's instruction execution frequency is returned to the first optimal frequency.

  • Patent number: 7779302
Abstract: Techniques for programmatically coordinating, and synchronizing execution of, automated testing in event-driven systems. One or more user-provided test system event listeners listen for generated events and update test system status accordingly. A user-provided test suite definition invokes a test framework interface, thereby defining the structure of a test suite. This test suite is executed, referring to the test system status to determine when to move to a next stage (e.g., to a next test case or next test module). Test system status may also be updated directly from a test case or test module (e.g., when the test designer determines that the tested code will not generate events that can be leveraged for test status information).

  • Patent number: 7778282
Abstract: A sync community may include a group of synchronization endpoints. When two synchronization endpoints of the sync community synchronize with one another, a synchronization data conflict may be detected when the two synchronization endpoints make a change to a same particular data item and the two synchronization endpoints were unaware of the changes to the same particular data item made by the other respective synchronization endpoint at the time the changes were made. Resolution of the detected synchronization data conflict may be delayed and data indicative of the detected synchronization data conflict may be propagated to other synchronization endpoints during a synchronization operation.
