Abstract: A lower platen is provided with a hem punch and a slide cam. The hem punch is floating-supported to the slide cam. An upper platen is provided with a hem punch driver cam and a liner. The hem punch driver cam is used to change the hem punch to a pre-hemming position and to a final hemming position. The liner applies a processing load to the hem punch being in the final hemming position. By moving the hem punch to which the processing load is applied from the liner, a final hemming part of the hem punch is pressed against a bent portion of the workpiece.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and compositions for rapidly producing multivalent recombinant vaccines using filamentous fungal heterokaryons. The present invention relies on the use of filamentous fungal heterokaryons that are generated from combinations of two or more parent strains into which recombinant DNA molecules encoding variants of antigens derived from pathogenic organisms have been introduced. The resulting vaccines are multivalent.

Abstract: A three-dimensional rendering of a game space for a first instance of a game is displayed. The first instance of the game requests position information of avatars in game spaces of other instances of the game. Position information and a player identification for an avatar in another instance of the game is received. A position object is generated based on the position information and player identification, the position object being unable to interact with other objects in the first instance of the game. A graphical representation of the position object is displayed in the three-dimensional rendering of the game space of the first instance of the game, the graphical representation of the position object being positioned in the three-dimensional rendering of the game space based on the received position information.

Abstract: Systems and/or methods are presented that facilitate determining the contextual influence of a user in referrals of products or services, and determining an amount of compensation for successful referrals based on the contextual influence of the user. A central service component can track activity and receive data associated with referrals, including data related to the number and type of referrals, and the number of successful referrals. An evaluation component can analyze referral data associated with the user and can determine a conversion ratio as the number of successful referrals compared to the total number of referrals. The evaluation component can utilize the conversion ratio to facilitate determining an amount of compensation that can be awarded and distributed to the user based on the influence of the user within the context of the product or service referred by the user.

Abstract: In charge-discharge control for a battery in a hybrid vehicle, when a difference between a target SOC (State Of Charge) and a present SOC becomes greater than or equal to a reference range in an estimated route to a destination, a charge schedule is drawn up again as a charge re-schedule. However, if the number of times of the re-schedule becomes greater than or equal to predetermined N times or if a remaining distance to the destination becomes less than a predetermined reference distance, a hybrid control based on the charge schedule is stopped without the charge re-schedule drawn up.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and a method for creating and editing speech-enabled WIKIs. A WIKI editor can be served to client-side Web browsers so that end-users can utilize WIKI editor functions, which include functions to create and edit speech-enabled WIKI applications. A WIKI server can serve speech-enabled WIKI applications created via the WIKI editor. Each of the speech-enabled WIKI applications can include a link to at least one speech processing engine located in a speech processing system remote from the WIKI server. The speech processing engine can provide a speech processing capability for the speech-enabled WIKI application when served by the WIKI server. In one embodiment, the speech-enabled applications can include an introspection document, an entry collection of documents, and a resource collection of documents in accordance with standards specified by an ATOM PUBLISHING PROTOCOL (APP).

Information for multiple pieces of live content available from a gallery is obtained, and this information is presented in the multiple tiles of the user interface in accordance with a current user interface layout. In accordance with one aspect, this current user interface layout changes automatically over time as the user interface is displayed. In accordance with another aspect, one or more of the multiple tiles is displayed in the user interface more prominently than the other tiles, and which information is to be displayed in the one or more tiles is based at least in part on a received fee.

Abstract: A storage management system using federated repositories directs content to child repositories in a hierarchical structure. A service for managing the storage maintains a list of active and historic repositories and routing of the content for storage is performed based on a file plan that includes the structure of the child repositories, policies for storage, and the like. Repositories reaching their capacity are retired to historic status, where they are available for search purposes, but not for further storage. File plan is updated as new repositories are added or old ones retired. File plan changes and other information such as content types, search terms, workflow, etc. is made available to child repositories when they query the service.

Abstract: Exemplary methods, computer-readable storage media, and systems are described for establishing multiple simultaneous connections on an instant messaging program to enhance the user experience. The user receives notifications of request to communicate, an email, or an alert on communication devices. By choosing which communication device to respond on, that particular communication device becomes active, continuing the communication to transmit to and receive from on that communication device. The process also includes mirroring the communication on the other communication devices that are alive (connected) and non-mobile. Furthermore, the other communication devices are kept alive to allow the user to switch from one communication device to another during communication.

Disclosed is a drug delivery vehicle for cancer therapy, comprising a cationized viral envelope vector, as well as a pharmaceutical preparation comprising a drug enclosed in the vehicle. The viral envelope vector is for example HVJ-E derived from a Sendai virus, and cationization can be conducted by binding hyaluronic acid-introduced cationized gelatin or ethylene glycol-introduced cationized gelatin with the viral envelope vector. The drug to be enclosed is a nucleic acid, a vector containing a nucleic acid sequence, a protein based drug or pharmaceutical with a low-molecular compound.

Abstract: A gain switching determination circuit (250) compares/determines a comparative input voltage (Vc) from an inter-stage buffer (230) with a first hysteresis characteristic, and outputs a gain switching signal (SEL) based on the comparison/determination result to first and second transimpedance amplifier core circuits (210, 220), thereby switching the gains of the core circuits. This obviates holding a comparison input voltage with long response time in a level holding circuit for gain switching determination, which allows instantaneous gain switching determination and instantaneous response corresponding to burst data.
