Publication number: 20080320336Abstract: A process executing on a computing system may encounter an exception. Pointers or other references created by the exception may identify portions of the computing system's memory containing the binary code that was executing at the time of the exception. The exception-causing code from the system memory may be compared to an original version of the code from a non-volatile source. If the comparison identifies a hardware corruption pattern, the computing system may communicate information about the process and the exception to an error analysis server. Using historical exception data, the error analysis server may determine if the identified corruption pattern is most likely the result of corrupt hardware at the computing system. If corrupt hardware was the most likely result of the exception, then the server may communicate with the computing system to recommend or initiate a hardware diagnostic routine at the computing system to identify the faulty hardware.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2007Publication date: December 25, 2008Applicant: MICROSOFT CORPORATIONInventors: Haseeb Abdul Qadir, Kinshumann Kinshumann

Publication number: 20080314022Abstract: A lean NOX trap is a diesel exhaust aftertreatment system is selectively denitrated when a measure relating to NOX loading, remaining NOX storage capacity, or performance of the exhaust aftertreatment system or a portion thereof comprising the lean NOX trap reaches a critical value. The critical value is determined based in part on conduciveness of current conditions to regenerating the lean NOX trap. Accordingly, denitration is scheduled based on a balance between the urgency of the need to regenerate and conduciveness of current conditions to regeneration. The stopping point for regeneration can also be selected based on conduciveness of current conditions to regeneration. The method maintains exhaust aftertreatment performance while reducing regeneration fuel penalty.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2007Publication date: December 25, 2008Applicant: Eaton CorporationInventors: Johannes Walter Reuter, Karen Evelyn Bevan, Christian Thomas Chimner

Publication number: 20080318278Abstract: Disclosed herein are ammonia-specific 5?-XMP aminase mutants and a method for preparing the same. A mutation is introduced into the active site of glutamine-dependent catalysis in 5?-XMP aminase. The resulting 5?-XMP aminase mutant is devoid of the glutamine-dependent activity and specifically reacts with external ammonia in converting 5?-XMP into 5?-GMP. Thus, the ammonia-specific 5?-XMP aminase mutant is stabler within cells compared to the wild type, and can be useful in the industrial conversion of 5?-XMP into 5?-GMP.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 14, 2006Publication date: December 25, 2008Applicant: CJ CHEILJEDANG CORPORATIONInventors: Jae-Gu Pan, Heung-Chae Jung, Eui-Joong Kim, Han-Seung Lee, Young Hoon Park, Hyoung Suk Kim, Jong-Kwon Han, Jin Nam Lee, Ki-Hoon Oh, Jeong Hwan Kim, Yoon-Suk Oh, Jae Ick Sim, Kuk-Ki Hong, Kyung Oh Choi, Hyun Soo Kim, Min-Ji Baek, Tae Sun Kang
