    Abstract: Disclosed herein are ammonia-specific 5?-XMP aminase mutants and a method for preparing the same. A mutation is introduced into the active site of glutamine-dependent catalysis in 5?-XMP aminase. The resulting 5?-XMP aminase mutant is devoid of the glutamine-dependent activity and specifically reacts with external ammonia in converting 5?-XMP into 5?-GMP. Thus, the ammonia-specific 5?-XMP aminase mutant is stabler within cells compared to the wild type, and can be useful in the industrial conversion of 5?-XMP into 5?-GMP.

    Abstract: A method of machining a wafer is disclosed, in which the wafer is held by sucking its back-side surface directly onto a suction surface of a chuck table, and the tips of protruding electrodes and a resist layer are cut to make them flush with each other (appendant part cutting step). Next, the wafer is held by sucking the surface of the cut appendant part directly onto the suction surface of the chuck table, and the back-side surface of the wafer is ground (back-side surface grinding step), followed by removing the resist layer. The wafer is held onto the chuck table without using any protective tape but by directly holding the wafer, whereby the wafer can be ground to have a uniform thickness.

The present invention provides a means for detecting the presence of a wafer carrier at the input port, means for identifying the type of the wafer carrier, and means for executing an action sequence if the stocker is not compatible with those wafer carriers. Upon detecting an erroneous condition, an action sequence is executed which may include prevention entry of the wafer carrier, and notifying an operator.

The proxy enables authentication based on actual machine account credentials to obtain a signed certificate, rather than conventional techniques such as delegation. The roller is advanced downward in predetermined increments by a pawl drive mechanism located in the drive compartment and coupled to the roller by a mounting bracket extending through travel slots in the partition.
